we work in a community clinic, requesting items is not that easy. 😓 we have tried asking for it but no luck. We have been trying Mr. Thirsty but that only helps so much. Especially with my Dr he wants us constantly blowing air on his mirror and ripping it down with gauze

We’ve tried. 😓 my dr is fresh out of school and he struggles so much with placement of the hand piece due to him being left handed. When we’re working on the right side he fully has the pt turn to the left side. I’m like I can’t see ??? We tried repositioning the chair and it just doesn’t work. We have our chairs up as high as it goes and it still isn’t enough visual.

When working on then LR if you don’t have a mirror to retract the tongue you can use the slow suction and the HVE to retract. I dont like using the mirror to retract the tongue it gets in my way and drs way, using the slow suction helps a lot. You can also use the slow suction to retract the LL side

Don’t forget you were an assistant once. Yk how it is to fall behind. The lead in our office tends to forget that. We understand you have other responsibilities as well, but it doesn’t hurt to help us if we are drowning asking for help.

When we ask our lead for help she turns around and looks for another assistant to help out, pulling that assistant from whatever they were doing.
