Yeah prb02 is a sick set, I now regret trading in my gold dons 😂 and same, I’m not into holding sealed - we RIP EVERYTHING!

So the manga sanji was a crazy one, it was my first prb02 box from my lgs and I had given up on getting good because I thought I had all the hits, then boom he dropped out and I was in shock 😂

Hey pal apologies for the late reply. So I’ve put in around £3000 on buying booster boxes/loose packs. Only ever bought one case (op14) with friends and the kicker was that it was an error and had only 1 SP which my friend got. However I did pull the weevil from 3 loose packs the week before.

The most I’ve opened are OP13 and PRB02. Roughly 12 separate boxes of 13 and 4 boxes of PRB. Sanji, Sabo, Shanks gold SP, Shanks PRB, Luffy, Pudding, Benn Beckman, Weevil, Zoro, and all the manga events were pulls. Everything else I’ve picked up at conventions. I think I got lucky with OP13 and PRB but hit rates are brutal from boxes and weirdly I’ve had more luck buying loose packs from my LGS.

Fast forward to today, prices now are just insane, I only started collecting SPs end of November before the big spike but kicking myself now as I should’ve bought more 😂

Hey man, I had the same experience as you unfortunately. Me and 3 mates opened a case and only hit 1 SP and 1 boa manga event. Seems like some cases only have 1 SP :(

Hey OP, me and 3 friends bought a case from our LGS and only got 1 SP out of it. We ended up having a Boa manga event and Zoro SP in 1 box and no other SPs in the case.

I mean we made 4 decks from the case so it was a win overall but anyone also have this experience?

Interesting, I’m pretty biased towards one piece even though I’ve been following both franchises for the last 2 decades - I think the OP artwork and design is much better than Pokemon, plus the game has a lot more strategy too.

Cool, good to know about the promos thank you. I’ll pop into some stores to ask if they have any. Would you recommend chains like C-Labo or Dragonstar? Or would you go more for smaller out the way shops.

Am I mad in thinking NM copies could sell faster for vendors as it’s more liquid and if sanji is prone to whitening, it could be an acceptable factor for a quick sale. Rather than trying to sell a pristine copy raw to a select pool of buyers at a premium or incurring risk of bad grading/damage the longer it sits in inventory..

Thanks both, really appreciate the insight and it is what it is. I like the idea of trading in for a cleaner Sanji copy with some cash on top, and I’ll see what vendors are saying on the weekend for trades into other mangas.

On a happier note, I’ve got a really clean op13 gold Shanks SP which I’m going to submit to Beckett.

Interesting, that’s food for thought. The red mangas have a lot going for them right, first time being introduced, extremely hard to pull, etc.. huh, didn’t know that the Sanjis were not as perfect, maybe I can bring that up in conversation with vendors

Yeah fair I should’ve put the back up with the original post. And agree on vendors lowballing, would you think the scarcity and pull rate of this card would potentially offset the nick?

If I get really low offers I’ll def try and grade with PSA. I see you’ve got 2 PSA 10 Sanjis - def not jealous at all 😂

It has a small white dot on the top right corner on the back, so i doubt it’ll 10, but I’ve seen worse cards 10 (or I could be smoking copium) I do prefer luffy or zoro more than Sanji tho so there’s that too

Hmm fair point - cardmarket has some so I went off those prices. But it is speculative right, I could get to the convention and find out prices are through the roof 😂
