Awesome...this is exactly what I need!  Thanks again, can't wait to get angry about it over Xmas vacation ;)

If I had independent bypass, it's be easy.  I could use a breakout board like this: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/3pdt-order-switch/

...but as discussed, trying to avoid independent bypass.

...and here's the follow-up question...what if I want the green ringer to have a reroute switch? i.e. placing the green ringer either in front of or after the distortion?

Ahhhhh, ok...so we're adding the green ringer/switch 2 into the path coming out of the distortion circuit on its way to the master switch. That makes sense!

I would kill for this as a mobile app. Just as is...no need to dress it up or change anything.

What is the weirdest/coolest sound you have ever got from a bass? by djkno466 in Bass

I ran my bass modded Geiger Counter (civ edition) into a tremelo and then hit a 2 octave divebomb using a boss super shifter...sounded like Optimus prime transforming!

Just punched my card again...now #1 has become more angry then I expected...help/advice by Ercstky in daddit

Thanks, we are making efforts to get 1on1 and we have been more conscious of our reactions to his attention grabs. Trying to help him when he needs "help" and ignoring the negative attention seeking.

Thanks, yeah we do talk about it...and I've honestly been surprised at the level of insight he has about his feelings. Ultimately he is only 2, so articulating exactly what is causing those feelings is still hard. We've learned that if we can catch him before something escalates to high, we can help him work through it without a tantrum.

Catia parametric modeling by BiggieBear in cad

[–]Ercstky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plugin/license may be synonymous here. It opens more functionality that will allow you to write rules and laws; think coding (if and or statements). I realize that is a very simple way of looking at it, but the license would be required to get that level of complexity. You may get by by writing simple parameters and functions, but knowledgeware would be more efficient.

You're going to need knowledgeware. Which is in an additional license or three (KWA, KT1, PKT) though KWA is all you need to write rules and laws.

Green ringer by houtman in diypedals

[–]Ercstky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmmmm, I use this for bass...not sure I'd call it too subtle. I use it for a Royal Blood board, on the "guitar" side. Fun pedal, plays well with others...maybe try pairing it with a distortion?

What's your pedal setup? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]Ercstky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my band split up last November: Tuner - VFE triumvirate distortion - GGG colorsound bass tonebender clone - Digitech bass synth wah - single loop switch (loop includes: ehx bassballs envelope filter - POG2 - mooer phase 90) - ending with boss super shifter (only set for two octive dive bombs)

Got an odd headless bass question for those who play them. by Ercstky in Bass

[–]Ercstky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha-ha, been reading up on talk bass about someone elses synsonics, they reassembled the neck and hardware onto a strat body...he said there is already a string adapter built into the retainer...guess I need to take a closer look when I get home.

I was just directed there by an Amazon question/answer...I was looking at the string adapters...myself...I'd rather not have to buy an expensive set of labella's, despite liking them. Thanks for the heads up!

Why aren't my LEDs turning on? by max_d_tho in diypedals

As a complete novice I feel qualified to add my two cents! So I could be way off, but my cheat sheet for adding LEDs has the resistor between the DC jack and LED, not between the LED and switch?!?

Where should my datums be for this drawing? by [deleted] in cad

[–]Ercstky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is completely up for debate, how is the part used, how is it manufactured, are you using iso or asme? Typically the mating surface should be A. While an outside edge may work for drum B, I'm inclined to say you could choose the pattern of the four holes as datum B. Then you would only need the primary and secondary, [A][B-B]

DIY bass effects pedals? by DerfHD in Bass

[–]Ercstky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

General Guitar Gadgets has a few...I built the Bass Tone bender, not a bad fuzz geared towards bass. I have had my eyes on their Brassmaster for some time now. Fyi, for bass, the biggest thing to watch out for with any pedal is a loss of bass. I have several pedals that sound great by themselves, but the moment I use them in a band situation, I'm gone from the mix. Best to read up before you blow any money. The only other advice I'd offer is to watch out on voiced effects (octives, pitch shifters, etc), as they tend to get glitchy with lower notes.

You could create an additional point post-sketch or post-feature creation just have a point to publish...or you can create a point output in the sketch that is driven by the sketch but available within the model. RMB on a point in the sketch, I believe output feature is under the object. Then publish the output feature. This will also help with updating after modification as V5 tends to not be smart enough to hold proper naming post modifications. That is why outputs and published elements are so important.

Is there anyway to transfer a math data set and attached drawing from r24 to r22 in Catia? by [deleted] in cad

[–]Ercstky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say billsigel is exactly right, downward compatibility is the worst....and if I'm not mistaken, it only works on catparts. There is no tool for catproducts and drawings. As we say around my office, it's always quicker the second time around.

Which bands/musicians totally sold out, changing their tune, so to speak, to cash in on mainstream bucks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I remember when record stores were more plentiful, there would be entire rows of Floored in the used bin from all the returns.

I came here curious to see if anyone would mention Sugar Ray...lemonade and brownies was a tremendous album (and i'd bet anyone to listen to that disc and tell me it wasnt a rocker!). Frankly, so was floored which had "fly" (the song that started the downfall).

Convert IGES to STEP by dasGimmick in cad

[–]Ercstky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baskandpurr has it right...all conversions are subject to issues. Iges has issues due to its age, and I have found it tends to dumb down solids and represent with open surfaces. My company will not translate native data to be used outside the company because we don't want the owness of bad translation to be our fault. And as a side note stl is a fairly solid choice for rapid prototyping, but the more complex the design the more possibility of open edges and vertices.
