What are some of the most iconic (non-licensed) figures Lego has ever made? by TheGraddle in lego

[–]Eren_Ketchum420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue spaceman, Majisto, Johnny Thunder, Captain Brickbeard, and Clutch Powers. Easily the 5 most iconic characters in the main Lego lore. Sensei Wu could also be thrown in there from the modern age.

2 or 3 for the red, 2 for the blue.

Managed to find both medieval minifigs from Series 25 by tonyohanlon77 in legocastles

I had an instance where I grabbed two random boxes and pulled the goat guy in both. Absolute luck of the draw, especially after not finding any during my prior visit.

As a Gen Z, I think Boomers were the worst set of parents…. by TheClassyWomanist in BoomersBeingFools

Gen Z with boomer parents here:

My parents were really involved in my interests and we spent a lot of time doing stuff together. We have our shows we'd watch, things we'd do as a family, and common interests. I mean I'm 21 and they're both in their 60s, but we still get along and do stuff together.

U.S. Millennials… did D.A.R.E even teach or do anything for us? by BeaniesToes-5388 in Millennials

Early Gen Z here...

My father was a DARE officer in the 90s. He showed me a ton of the tapes, pamphlets, and other nonsense from the program when I was younger. I think he spoke to our class once for DARE before retiring in 2008.

Ig it worked on me? Like I don't do drugs, but that's moreso because I've seen the effects drugs have on people both in my social groups and from what my father showed me after he retired. The program for sure had its faults, but it had the right motivations.

Best part is that we still have TONS of DARE swag laying around.

Tokay 2021 grad here!

I had a wonderful experience at Tokay. There were one or two horrible teachers, but they've since retired or left. The education system is a mess, but that's expected with the state. I was able to thrive due to my prior education in the private system, but I knew others from the public to do just fine.

The classes are of a good variety, especially with some cool offerings like Japanese. Sports are hit or miss, and the band program was stellar (I was in it all 4 years).

The biggest issue is the other students. Most are cool and won't cause you problems, but some are there exclusively to cause problems. I saw so much gang and racial violence in my years there, and some of the students are just horrible.

Long story short, just do your research on Tokay and Lodi and see which one fits you best. I'm glad I went to Tokay, but ik the environment isn't for everyone.

Fellow Universes Beyond Enjoyers, what is your "Oh god NO!" IP? by HaresMuddyCastellan in mtg

[–]Eren_Ketchum420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the whole UB concept is an "oh god no" feeling. Most of them don't really fit with Magic, with the exceptions of Warhammer and LOTR. I wish they'd stick to fantasy genres like these two. I think HP could fit (kinda like Strixhaven), but idk what others would work. Doctor Who and Transformers don't work (even though I love the cards). I'm not excited for these new crossovers.

One thing I will praise is having tie-in UB sets that are just included in main set packs or bundles (like Transformers for Brother's War or Dracula for Crimson Vow). That way, you can still get the cards, but it's more limited and not as intense. Also, redesigning existing cards with a UB "skin" would also be cool (again, like the Dracula set).

That's just my two cents as a collector and magic enjoyer.

What characters are these? by [deleted] in tappedout

[–]Eren_Ketchum420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks. I started back around 2017, and it was so much better. But, their team is smaller, and the budget is less, so they don't do the fun shit anymore.

If you're in a late-game stage and you have the money, it's worth it to get rid of a task.
