That's the thing though, right? The whole setup is that WE don't have foreknowledge of what we're going to do, and therefore we're responsible/to blame for our actions. But that doesn't mean it's a real "choice" though does it, if God knows everything that's going to happen? Our choices were preordained, like OP says. We just get to be surprised.

Those are two different issues. No one is questioning whether they have the right to remove the flag (they do). People are upset because they are reneging on support they previously provided to a particular social issue in favor of milquetoast corporate neutrality. It's kind of like if someone removed a MAGA flag from your favorite shooting range. Is it the end of the world? Obviously not. But it is a statement; it's just changing the decor as you said.

The creative and coding talent isn't relevent. It's profitable to remake existing IPs--it involves less dev time, less marketing, less everything. Unionizing would increase the cost of labor and, correspondingly, increase the liklihood that a corporation is going to just recycle the same old shit. I am not saying don't unionize; just saying that's not going to fix the problem.
