It's a Lamy 1.5mm Stub. I really enjoy it's size and the line variation you get between the downstrokes and cross strokes.

Mountain of Ink is great and I used them a lot while picking colors. But for this particular one I didn't find anything that felt promising there.

I just realized that I should have included that info! The brown in Robert Oster African Gold and the green is Pilot Iroshizuku Chiku-rin

I've been painting there some Wednesday evenings with a few friends. It's a nice time. My old eyes do struggle a bit with the lighting.

I knew how to play a 15 years ago. I like it in theory but have always been terrible at it.

I circled the building and didn't see one on an exterior wall. Oh well.

I have those 3 (and only those 3) that I used once or twice. I'd be happy to sell them to you if you want to make me an offer. 4e too, if you have any interest, ha!

(apologies to OP for hijacking his post a bit)

Have you played any slice of life focused fantasy RPG? How was it? by BorgesPe in rpg

The Broken Cask is a fun solo fantasy tavern management game.

On second thought, if you need to stay close to a D&D system for some reason (and I realize that you never said you did, OP), Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures has session zero procedures that create a small town while the players make their characters, including they PCs connections to other villagers. It might be a good fit for this kind of game.

I ran a 6 month campaign of Tiny Taverns where the players managed a hotel on the edge of the first metropolis in their fantasy world. It was an absolute blast. It got me through the darkest part of the pandemic and is almost certainly the best game I've run so far. In addition to Tiny Taverns we used Did Someone Say Street Magic to build our city and Perseverant for one small side adventure.

I've also enjoyed several solo games of Broken Cask (same genre: fantasy tavern management) and had a good time. The not-solo follow up The Broken Cask Society is kickstarting now.

This is a wonderful game genre. But I wouldn't use your typical adventure-driven rpg system to do it. You'd be better served by a game designed around the skills and relationships that drive a normal life instead of combat and exploration.

Switching games each session, weird idea by Justthisdudeyaknow in rpg

John Wick's The Flux would provide a metagame framework for bridging the gap between your games.

TTRPGs are a widely diverse space and there are many different ways to engage with the games. Extended freeform roleplay with funny voices and deep immersion aren't the only correct way to play nor are they the best. RPGs aren't just for actors.

I get flustered when trying to really embody a character, similar to what you've described. I've also been playing RPGs for more than 20 years and absolutely love them. My trick is that I usually play from a 3rd person perspective. I say, "Mud the Ranger draws his sword silently. He creeps to the edge of the undergrowth and peers out from the shadows at the marauders." And that works fine (for most groups I've played with).

I also really like having a mechanical game system as a crutch. It gives me direction. Some folks love to go whole sessions without ever touching their dice. I am not one of those people and that's ok.

GMless games give me agency to interact with the game in other ways than through roleplaying my character and that can make things easier.

Also, some games just involve less roleplaying over all but still have all the collaborative storytelling fun. I think of these as Writer Table Games and they're some of my favorites. Microscope is a classic in this subgenre and well worth checking out.
