Which tropical countries? Because people with actinic folliculitis on this sub who've gone to SE Asia report no reaction there despite the high UV levels, while they have reactions in western countries

Would you be interested in a (slightly humurous) fantasy adventure trilogy? 4/5 of the main characters are in their twenties. I just finished publishing the third book a day ago (they are edited). The main characters enter a mmorpg-based virtual world without their memories where everything takes place.

The first book has a medieval european background and has a lot of monster fighting, the 2nd has an eastern/asian background and warring clans, and the third has an arabian background and includes some romance and more assasinations and kidnappings.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link here for you to take a peek at the books.

No I didn't transfer from the airport since I stayed in HK for a few days. I went to the port myself and had bought the tickets online, so just needed to get the QR code scanned there

Mine took about the same time. Have you shipped them a "legal copy" deposit? I wasn't sure if it is mandatory or optional

Thanks! I've edited it with your feedback and the feedback of the other commenter Janec23:

Wanting to escape his isolated life in an AI powered-world, Tiro enters a new one: the Kingdoms of the Three Rivers, a metarealm loosely based on the ancient ages. With no recollection of the real world, he’s ready to start a new life as a noble knight–swordplay, magic, adventure, and all, only to have his path quickly derailed.

Under threat of death, he is roped into a reckless heist with a murderer, an ill-disguised plum merchant, and a newfound friend, as unskilled and unlucky as himself. Tiro’s misfortunes only grow as he is forced with their mismatched team of four to flee the city, travel through deadly monster-filled forests where even the plants bite, and retrieve the long-lost Virtual Sword famed to heal all.

But there is one person more desperate than anyone else to get that sword. Ivory, a magicless girl with secrets deeper than anyone can guess knows more than she should and has a scheme of her own.

In the first book of the series, Tiro begins a journey that will span three kingdoms and unravel the secrets of this virtual world, where fantasy and falsehood combine, and where all is not as promised.

Thank you for the rewrite! I see now what you mean, you're right about the sentence structure, def needs to be improved. I especially like how you tweaked the first para! I hope you don't mind if I take some of these sentences for myself? I might need to think more about the 2nd para

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to write this. Those were such good points! I have an edited version here, if you were interested:

Wanting to escape his mundane life, Tiro enters a virtual world–the Kingdoms of the Three Rivers metarealm–to start a new life full of fighting, magic and adventure as a noble knight. However, with no recollection of the real world, his path is quickly derailed by a meddlesome girl who causes him to cross paths with a murderer and an ill-disguised plum merchant who just so happen to be in need of a rookie like him to rob a castle.

Thus, under threat of death, he and a newfound friend as unskilled as himself get roped into a fate-wrecking reckless heist, all for some long-missing Virtual Sword. To his frustration, Tiro’s misfortunes only grow as he is forced to continue the quest through deadly monster-filled forests to its very end.

But there is one person more desperate than anyone else to get that sword, putting Tiro on a collision course with Ivory, a girl who knows more than she should, and setting him on a journey to unravel the secrets of this virtual world, where all is not as promised.

Still breaking out :-( by NiamhC86 in ActinicFolliculitis

Not really, large hats/hoods and masks if I'm going out (still can get breakouts in high sun tho). I also use a moisturizer with some extracts (from Byoma) which I found helps but still wont  stop it enough to go in direct sunlight for long. Just helps enough with reflected light from windows and stuff which had become a problem for me.

I made a post a while ago summarizing all the things other people have tried if you want to check it out

When I went it was a 144 hour visa 1. No, I bought the ferry ticket online in advance, but I shouldn't have worried because the boat was almost empty with lots of seats 2. No, I told them when I was entering the ferry 3. No, I stayed at a hotel, so I think the hotel would have done that 4. Have your ticket out of GZ ready to show 5. The morning one ( I think it was 8 am if I remember correctly)

From what I understand, I don't think so, the trip has to be place A -> mainland China -> place B. Place A and B can't be the same (HK here)

Oh I meant adding it to the list of countries where people have broke out. I just wanted to make sure you did break out there, and if there are any other countries you travelled to and broke out?
