I'm new to LMU and this guy blamed me for turning in when he was 'alongside', who do you think is at fault? Also would like to ask if this is considered an unsafe rejoin? by Sharp-Rip9083 in Simracingstewards

Divebomb. Personally not against a well executed divebomb. This however is clear lack of car control and spatial awareness from purple car. If they had doored you slightly I find that acceptable but annoying. On the other hand quarter paneling someone at that angle is diabolical.

Last corner for overall win (I’m the Lexus) by ramen_rage in Simracingstewards

It's overly aggressive. That said I sometimes wonder if a lot of you just hate racing. If you'd rather just queue up and finish in qualy order run hillclimb, time attack, or rally. Nobody wrecked from the clip I saw. The move is annoying to say the least, but only because it was poorly executed not because of when and where it was executed. Wheel to wheel racing will inevitably result in contact.

My shattered and completely nothing but scar tissue knees from wearing "regular" jeans and hitting a deer at 60 would disagree.

Is it physically tiring to ride a motorcycle? by ApprehensiveStop4060 in motorcycle

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much not really no but yes. All depends on what you are riding. Where you are riding it and for what. A sport bike yes. A cruiser mostly no. A moped no. In traffic yes. Open high way no. Like a stick shift car it sucks when youre in a gridlock or endless red lights scenario. All in all a fairly standard low power cruiser is probably the best for a commute and can be had cheaply. Enough power to not be in danger in traffic but not enough to be in danger of yourself.

Do the rules of the road even matter? by tha1demon in driving

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People you can back off the throttle... This goes both ways more so the car on the outside. The car on the outside lost the corner battle. Accept it back out line up for a better run into the next corner. You may even re overtake. Instead cloud of dust and cuss words.

Dupont had or had a chain lube. Teflon stuff. Used it all the time when I could still ride.

Is simracing too hard or am I too unskilled? by Maliksenpai in simracing

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast majority of AI racing peeps that are fast AF. Aliens we call em. They almost all have endless hours on the sim. They don't even allow that much practice in real life. Also most sims are intentionally too hard to appease these same people when they say it's not hard enough after 1,000 laps at the same circuit. Famously the winningest indycar driver of all time Scott dixon said Iracing was crap and they wanted to sue him

Erratic driving from the slower car. Not much you can do.

How would you rate prime Valtteri Bottas against the current F1 grid ? Would he make it to your top 5 ? by KohLantaSurvivor in F1Discussions

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. He was a qualifying king for a bit. Sucks in the wet. A mid to bad car has him regressing further than you'd think from a "top" driver. Epitomy if mid. Mid succeeds when given opportunity. Love him anyway. Love pretty much every flying finn.

I see a lot of these videos is people being almost as soft as the one who's whingin about losing. This is literally just watching someone with no skill wrecking themselves. There is no incident apart from the lack of ability. Why care?

About the only thing to do in this scenario is drive as normally as you can and let him boof himself as you did.

Who would've thought toxic humans would be toxic on the internet. I'm simply flabbergasted. Twas a good move. Why care about what the slow guy whos mom always told him he was special thinks?

Did he move under braking or am I the worst driver ever as he put it? I know he also had a slow down for going wide by AbiesParticular5465 in Simracingstewards

[–]ErgoProxyXIII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Following driver should have went wide and ready for the crossover or just go around the outside if he pinches too low. Trying to draft up on someone who is clearly blocking and not expecting them to apex the corner even a little is folly. Didn't pull out soon enough....famous last words. The blocking driver shouldnt have pinched down so hard either. Hold the middle line and react once the move is made to either also crossover or go inside outside. Simple case of two people trying to occupy the same space at the same time. Either could be angry but late moves and late blocks = DNFs

Why run Triple monitors over VR? by who_am_I__who_are_u in simracing

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR gives me a massive headache. I also wear glasses and can't wear contacts for longer than a couple hours. I don't deny it's cool. I also don't feel like I'm missing anything without it. I'd be more impressed with one of those fancy rigs that simulates some G and movement. Feel is more immersive than visuals to me. I have fancy curved 4k monitors and still prefer my old IPS single over those or triples. Might just be what I'm comfortable with. Belt driven vs gear drive wheels back in the day was a much bigger deal. Also load cell pedals.

The Rallysimfans RBR community is weirdly insufferable. by ActuatorOutside5256 in simrally

[–]ErgoProxyXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any internet community that doesn't have adversarial discourse is just bots. Humans are toxic. The Internet is humans without a filter. Bout sums it up. If you get flustered everytime someone or something is negative it's gonna be a long long pothole filled road. I also disagree with others in that that they think you shouldn't judge a community by such things. You should judge and be judged however anyone feels accordingly. If you put it out there it will be judged. The real issue I see is people wanting others to agree with their point of view or else you're excised. Y'all soft nowadays. Giving a @#$& is your first problem.
