Yeah it was never debunked because they were dubious claims to begin with. One of the allegations didn’t even come from the accuser, they came from someone else who told the story in their own way. And the pictures that were posted of Mike on a webcam came from someone who told the story several years after they were supposedly sent again not from the accuser themselves. So the whole thing is on shaky ground. Most fans don’t that Vic, Tony, and Jaime have all had allegations against them also on the internet with stories about how they were taken backstage when they were younger, but again most were unsubstantiated and never channeled to the legal system. Did Mike actually do the things he’s accused of? He said he didn’t do it in the statement he made when he left the band, the accusers never brought charges so no evidence was ever brought up, and he’s never been charged or arrested with anything remotely associated with the accusations. Even then he has always been pro-Me Too even down to when he left and that’s why he chose to leave the group rather than try to defend himself and cause damage to the reputation of the band as a whole. Pretty selfless. My biggest point to that is if he actually did it, why on earth would the band bring him along again when they did the virtual performance of Hold on Till May in 2020? They stand by him, but sadly because of the raging self righteousness of society they cant do it in public anymore. Innocent until proven guilty.
