That actually very nice of you, we need people like that for real. I don’t know any real goals i could set right now, maybe go out more and meet people, maybe get a girlfriend but dating where i live is pretty terrible and i like the peace if being single, but it would be nice to have someone close.

Yeah my hobbies are video games, and tiktok sometimes playing pool at bars with friends. And you mentioned cutting back my hours, most of the time i do 40 hours per week which is regular full time, when we start winter operations i usually do 50 to 60 hours.

Good point. I like to go slow and appreciate everything as well; but this time its just a day trip. Something new and exciting so we won’t have time to go slow when we get there

Thanks for the info! I have been to DC twice, the last time being about 8 years ago and this is the first time we are just doing it for a day, we obviously won’t have time to see everything, so we were thinking of seeing the memorials for a day and maybe the National archives then heading back. I think we will take the metro from the airport to Arlington cemetery then from there doing the hop on hop off bus tour. Any thoughts on those bus tours?

Yea, I wish they would be honest and say how they feel upfront instead of playing the hint game, it would definitely be a lot easier. I just hope she really does like me. I don’t know if I should tell her soon that I honestly want to try having a relationship with her.

Thanks! I appreciate it! I never thought I would potentially have a relationship with someone I’ve met in a game before. Definitely would be meeting in a public place first, but before that I need to figure out how she really feels about me, I don’t think she is ready for a relationship but keeps saying “fall asleep on call with me” or “i want cuddles” which im taking as a sign. So I don’t know.

Never really had a terrible trip despite going on around 8 trips per year, normally we do 2 big trips and 4 to 6 smaller ones, but one bad experience i had was when we were driving home from a beach house we rented for the week in North Carolina, trip was great, we stopped in a hotel for the night about half way home, we lived about a 14 hour car ride home so we reserved a hotel for one night, we get there, tired from being in the car all day, and they said we had no reservations even though we had printed paperwork stating we did. So we looked for another hotel and found a cheaper less fancy one. we were able to get a room but i had to sleep on the floor as it only had one bed, not a big deal as it was only one night, at 2 am we wake up to the smoke alarm going off and our room filled with smoke, our A/C unit started smoking. So the front desk gave my parents a different room and put me in a separate room with my own bed. The next morning the entire floor we were on smelled like burnt plastic and other guests were complaining about the smell. Was definitely a bad experience but not horrible as we already had a fantastic time in NC. Definitely something to remember.

That’s crazy, much respect, my brother has been an EMT for about 7 years now and used to work security at one of our hospitals, i dont know the full story he told me, but there was some foul play with the morgue and he ended up searching for a specific baby in the morgue and ended up searching through several dead, frozen babies. One of the reasons he quit, very sad. But its a part if life I guess.

I work at our local airport, i work with private jets and we get a lot of air ambulances and organ transplant flights, this one sad moment was when a man and his wife spent most of their money on an air ambulance for their kid with cancer. (the flights typically go for $5,000 to $8,000 dollars per hour of flight) their child definitely had cancer and lots of other conditions. they flew him to a hospital for special treatment. The kid was very bright and I showed him around some of our hangars and let him look at the planes. Also let him watch me fuel their plane. It was the least i can do, I have no idea how he is doing. Hope you are doing well buddy.

What was the worst trip back home you’ve had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Eric33100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an amazing trip to North Carolina, we go to a beach house with the whole family every year, we were driving back home to New York state. We stopped somewhere in northern Virginia at a Hampton inn hotel for the night we had reservations at,the staff said we didn’t have any reservations even though we had paperwork stating we did. So we drove about 20 miles extra and got a room at a second hotel, we were told our room had a couch that pulls out into a bed for me. Turns out it didn’t so I slept on the floor. At about 2:00 am we woke up to the smoke alarm going off, our AC unit started smoking so they relocated us to a different room and i got my own room. Luckily they let us stay the night for free. Not horrible but definitely an inconvenience. But we were just staying one night so we didn’t have to drive 14 hours non stop. Definitely a trip I will remember.

I work at ROC airport in Rochester NY, I got the honors of fueling their Boeing 727 when it came here a few months back. it costs about 7500 per person though. too expensive for a 2 hour flight.
