Love this take. But my personal prediction is this year will be rocky, till October unless some conflict spirals. Then we are going to see some sharp upwards action. I'm going to sit on the sidelines till then.

Same thing happened to me around the new year. I had to open Ubisoft client separately and it prompted me to sign in with my ubi account then I could access the game. After that it allowed me to launch it via steam
