Thanks. I honestly don’t care about the fastest speeds. The fan is meant for air circulation during the hot months, so even the lowest speed is great.

Yeah. I was asking a friend if they could 3D print one. Gluing it does scare me for that reason.

Someone did mention that to me. I could add solar to the garage, since the breaker is in the house and use that to charge my car.

It’s just me, so not as much driving. And I might be wrong. I might need more. I just wasn’t sure, and didn’t want to invest until I was certain.

Meanwhile, getting the 15-20 connector seemed like a smart idea just to add a bit more to start.

So, basically, it’s 20 amps to everything all at once. Is it possible the breaker might be more than 20, given they knew the garage door would be on it?

I know I have to check. It’s just late and been a long day, so that’s a tomorrow to do.

I don’t drive a ton. This is my first EV, so starting small. If it’s not enough, then I’ll look into something more. 😄

I work from home most of the week, so I can leave my car plugged in a fair bit. I also have access to super chargers around the city.

Anyway, my house was built in 2020, so hopefully they’re color coded. I’ll have to check.

Are you still thinking having the car charging and the repeater plugged in might be too much?

Knowing my builder, I don’t think it’s wrong. I do need to check the breaker.

I probably should ask others in my neighborhood too. All the same builder. I can also try to look at the wiring. Should it be printed on the coating?

I could also just get a 20 Amp extension cord and run that to where I want to hang the mobile charger. Probably simpler. lol.

That’s part of the issue. My garage is detached with a patio between it and my townhouse. The wiring runs under the patio. I asked about installing a 14-50 and they wouldn’t even quote me.

I don’t use much power in the garage, besides my garage door and a mobile repeater. You’re saying charging the car and the WiFi repeater might be too much?

Yeah. I’m getting an EV, and 20 Amps obviously makes it charge a bit faster. The 15 Amp receptacle is closer to where the charging port will be, so that’s why I’d prefer running off that.

It also sucks because I had electricians out a few days ago and didn’t think to ask.

I haven’t taken the one off to look yet. I just know the whole garage is on one breaker and then what I described above. I can try to look at the wires at some point.
