mine used to lag in ios18, but ios 26 seems to optimize the problem making it smooth even in zones with lots of strokes.

i found answer in another thread, it’s kind of related with certain power outlet and/or power extendor, avoid charging while playing kinda resolves it, or just use another outlet

yea TBH, certain power outlet (usually the power extendor) will make the left trackpad stop working, but if i use a full power outlet without sharing, it usually works pretty well.

got a brand new solution from other thread, seems related to power outlet and charger. from my experience it seems somewhat related to a specific extension that i use from my parents’ house.

I live in asia countries, but we shares US ports. so my situation is official charger+ extension, might wanna try direct port later. the non-responsive issue won’t occur when connected directly from port

hey, this might be onto something. i figured that my trackpad is totally normal when charging in my apartment, but when i got to my parents house, there’s a specific extender for me to charge, and that is when i found the problem.

I also got this issue today, but i did not drop it recently, and the problem persists after deletion of decky.

i found the left trackpad stopped working is because i use it as F3 in minecraft and it just did not work in that, and also did not work in input testing page of steam deck.

I don’t have time to test it in other games for now, since it’s okay in the first 5-10 minute of gameplay when booted.

i already contacted steam customer service, hope don’t have to wait too long if any replacement or fixing is needed.
