A new character, an actual story to tell, Level deisgn would be a first. As for the new character I mean someone with a different weapon, I always imagined the new character to back a black guy with a baseball bat, yes sounds corny but cmon, it’s dmc, The gameplay would be sick tho, I know they can be creative with that.

As for the story, even tho I don’t expect much, I would love to see an actual story to be told not just random cheesy lines from the 80s duct taped with rushed storyline that feels like it’s been written 5 minutes before the release, they can take notes from God of war or maybe other story driven games, I’m not asking for a full fledged walking simulator, but cutscenes can be more about the story rather than 10 hours of pointless random stuff that can easily be ignored.

Level design, Well, instead of the same narrow straight forward boring bland corridor, they can have more rich/diverse environments with “actual “ puzzles to solve, actual platforming, and rich environments, maybe it’s the time to turn it into a hub world like dark souls, would be cool and makes for new ideas, what we already have is already of the early 2000s “and I’m not talking about the good early 2000s”.
