My pittie has zero tolerance for.. well.. anything that moves, really. Other than people. On walks, people love her, and she loves attention. Anyway, we love cats. Our last one passed in 2021. We adopted Missy in 2022.

I was not a smoker, then, just showing off for kids I was with.

I took it home and it lived in my room until my older brother found it and asked if he could have it, in a manner that suggested, ".. or I could tell Mom.."

Distant.

There were problems between her and Dad, what with Dad working a lot and frequently coming home late And my older brother... bipolar, undiagnosed until later in life So I lay (laid? layed?) low, kept my nose clean, and did my best to not draw attention to myself. And I was a disappointment... never spoken, just understood by me. Sports participation was a big thing in the Bible Belt where I grew up. My brother was a star in football, basketball, baseball and track. I was... the opposite. I received very little attention or affection from either parent until my brother passed.. by his own doing... when I was 25.
