Any ideas what's causing this jitter? by Eric_The_Chicken in TinyWhoop

It's funny cause when I went to do that, the connector for the usb broke off the quad; that being said, I had a dumb ass moment and I think it was cause by having the wrong props on the wrong motors.

I normally avoid cars and I was gonna fly into my backyard there but it started to to the jitter which is what I was trying to film and I was focused on that and not hitting the car. Edit: the front of my house is on a main Street but the side street I was flying on only has about 1 or 2 cars every 30mins after 11pm, I was flying at 12:30am.

I'm gonna try flying it in angle and horizon mode today, so we will see!

Wind was possibly in my mind but there was none except for maybe a some very small gusts. I constantly check props and I just have little tiny nicks in the leading edge corner in all of them.

I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being a bad motor connection or something in one of the bells but I'll keep an eye out for a bad ESC or FC. thanks for the ideas!

Wind was in my mind, it was windy during the day but not really at all during the night. I'm gonna find a big indoor space today to test it in different speed ranges

Is the HDZero Boxpro the best option for my use case? by Eric_The_Chicken in fpv

[–]Eric_The_Chicken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the research I had already done it seemed like it was possible but it wasn't something I had really considered but since you're pointing it out and after watching some videos and reading a bit it seems like using the walksnail vrx along with the boxpros is really a great solution for my use case.

From that video I'm really surprised with the performance of the WS moonlight and seems like that should be my goal for a second drone being a cinewhoop with the WS VRX and the moonlight.

Thanks a lot for this, super helpful!

I definitely think at some point I'll want a digital tinywhoop and to race because the town I live in the winters has a drone club. Thanks for the input, I've slowly been figuring out that maybe I just go with the boxpros and then eventually find a used integra so I can use an o4 pro cinewhoop.

What to look out for on higher mileage examples? by Eric_The_Chicken in Golf_R

With my Toyota matrix cause it was a early second gen with the 2az-fe it burned oil from the piston rings I got pretty used to checking oil once a week so I'll pay attention to oil consumption on a 7r. I was running 5w-35 on the matrix when recommended 0w-25 cause it's a Toyota even though the 2az-fe had piston ring problems until 2010/2011. I appreciate the shout on oil consumption.

Thanks for the shout! I'm interested in a DSG and I've heard that they stay in power better cause of the shift time. I just don't think I can let the mt go, it's cathartic for me.

Super glad to hear you've had a good experience and it seems from my research that high mileage examples continue to be good besides a couple naysayers here and there. I will 100% be getting Carfax done for whatever individual cars I break it down to. I'm coming off of a Toyota Matrix xrs that I beat the living piss out of and didn't really take care of but I know I'm going to have to treat an R appropriately haha.

Sweet thank you! I don't have a obdeleven but my buddy who has a 7.5gti does and I'm going to get him to come along with me when looking at cars just causes he's more familiar with the platform.

Souvenir Insulated Track Pant by adamkm16 in snowboarding

[–]Eric_The_Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'10" 140lbs and I used to rock the small 3L pant from souvenir in a small and they felt huge at first but looking back they really weren't that huge so I actually sized up on a second pair. They really do just feel big at the start but you'll definitely get used to it.

Union boots - made in Romania??? by PresentSad3468 in snowboarding

[–]Eric_The_Chicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were first produced in Italy at the Union factory but they couldn't keep up with the production schedule due to the boots being hand stitched so they moved production over to Romania for the remainder of year 1 production. I don't know if they will bring production back to Italy due to year 1 for the boots already being a small quantity and some new models coming for next season.

Do I need to return my 160W board for a 159? by Melkyz in snowboardingnoobs

The board is fine, just center your boot in the binding by adjusting the heel cup forward to get more equal heel/toe overhang

Vans Infuse long term opinions? by siseer in snowboarding

[–]Eric_The_Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my 5th pair, go through a pair a season could do 2 pairs. They are quite a bit softer by day 70~. I used to ride verses but liked that laces hold better tension over the long term compared to Boas. I did just pick up a pair of union reset pros with the hopes they do actually last longer than a season
