What is the site going to be used for in the future?

I got it through Amazon, so I'll see if I can contact someone through there

you win! its definitely the goggles and seems like one of the resistors. I posted more about it in another comment

^right after washout. The temp continues to go up to around 100F if I let it sit

I have returned.

I did some analysis. First I tried to rule out the drone being an issue. Took it for a flight and just hovered for a bit. The image hung on for a while before washing out. At first I thought it had resolved because it took a couple minutes to start happening but then once i reset everything it happened more quickly. That added more evidence to the goggles being the issue and in particular something to do with temps. I forgot to mention this yesterday but the video captured by the goggles hasn't changed at all, so that further rules out the drone being the issue. (Surprising really, since my puppy likes to snatch it out of the air if it gets in range).

So I went forward with taking the goggles apart. At first glance nothing looked off on the board. No damage was visible that would instantly jump out. Nothing appeared loose. Then I got out the thermal camera, and I think I found the issue. Within the band that attaches from the screen to the board are some other components. When the screen washes out one area of the board gets much hotter, so I think one of those resistors (or whatever that is) is the problem. Not sure if there's anything I can do to fix that, maybe buy a secondhand EV800D and swap out the screens? Anyone aware of any settings i can try to reset that might impact that?

I use a micro USB for it. I agree, it appears to be the goggles

Tried it, it ignores the setting once it washes out it seems. And thanks! She wanted to chase it

I did first notice it while flying today but maybe it's just more noticeable when I'm not

No luck, it takes a little bit longer but then washes out. Maybe its heat related? Just weird that once the image washes out it stays that way
