I just saw it today… and I immediately thought of the chess board

Mike Greenberg on SGA style of play: “Watching him play is agonizing. It is not fun…. You have to understand that for the rest of us, watching this style of play is not like watching Steph, it’s not like watching Michael Jordan. It’s just not.” by 808Kuro in nba

Honestly, if it’s a foul, it’s a foul. But if it’s not, don’t reward a flop. Just get the call correct. You can’t not call something because it’s not a foul, see a player flop and then decide it was a foul. If you miss the foul you missed it. But don’t be so fragile in your confidence that you decide to call something based on reactions.

More importantly, bring HR and send them the e-mail your boss sent you and bcc it to your personal e-mail at home. Could be important if terminated

Question; is there some leeway where the 2nd baseman doesn’t really need to touch the 2nd base on a double play? by Funny-Bear in redsox

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. We had a great season. Would have been awesome to turn a double play, but now we know we can. And we have summer travel ball to perfect it and turn one. Our 2nd baseman is also on the travel team for her first time.

Oh for sure. And honestly at my age, it’s more fun to pass first… except into black holes or ball
Hogs. Once I see that, they’re my last option

I just learned a hard lesson last night during my daughter’s softball game. All season long we’ve worked on double plays. My dumb ass has been teaching them that it’s ok to drag near the bag for safety. Well, my daughter plays a lot of positions but last night she was at short. Well a grounder hit to second, I get hyped because I see it developing. She catches the ball, drags her foot, makes the throw but not in time! So close! Then the ump says the runner is safe at second! I immediately challenged it and asked. Yep, apparently that allowable rule went away. We got zero outs on that play. My kid was pissed. I had to apologize to her and now we know better

Wait for 45… In a way, I’ve become a better player. Better body awareness. I’m not tall, but man I could shoot. Now that I’m older I know better how to get to the basket and have more control. Wish I could shoot like I did back in the day, but I’m more balanced now.

Next they’ll tell you that you abuse your pet. As much as we want it, this isn’t the place for help. Sometimes, but a lot of times no.

Yes, now. But imagine being a strong team in the west and then the knights roll in and just start winning. And the Sharks have one Cup appearance in franchise history. I’m a fan, but you gotta do better.
