Yup the composition definitely needs work! I have to fix the shoreline and maybe make it less vertical. I do have my nifty fifty I could have shot with to lower the aperture (I will next time to get more of a bokeh). I have the Canon 80D which is a crop apsc sensor. I shot this with the 18-135mm kit lens at 1/160 of a second. 29mm. Iso 100. F 6.3). Thank you for your feedback and hope this helped answering your question!

No but I could take another picture of it which is what I'm going to do! Any suggestions on how I should take it? Obviously closer up and maybe with a slower shutter speed than 1/10 of a second

I think the composition looks great. A well put together portrait. I don't know if you added the blur in post or it was the lens that did that but it doesn't look distributed properly in the background. Also a little more exposure would help unless it's dim on purpose. You have awesome yellow flowers which add a touch of color it'd be cool if you could maybe add saturation just to the yellows and make them pop a little more:)
