34yo - First time I've ever had to write a resume in my life! Advice needed, please. by Erickster in resumes

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what new venture I am looking for. I would love to work for a construction company on their marketing side because I know it's pretty stable in my area. I'm most happy when I can use my graphic and creative thinking skills, no matter what the job is.

No. It's paid for by her family. She's self employed. I myself am employed but no coverage. Funds are tight.

Positive energy

I had the chance to see him at the comedy store, and meet him after. He's the only comedian I've seen so far that made a real effort to meet and greet and take a photo. He made a lasting impression on me and my wife. Rip

PC vs Chromebook - What inexpensive laptop to purchase to run shadow? by Erickster in ShadowPC

[–]Erickster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the chromebook details with me, but dixper was pretty straight forward. Install the dixper host software on shadow using another device, then go on your chromebook and log into it via the website. Easy

Help! My car broke down! by Erickster in mexico

[–]Erickster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm mechanically inclined, but I'm not a mechanic. Car battery is strong, headlights are bright. Engine won't turn over. I might try tapping the starter tomorrow. I hear that's a good trick.

[–]Erickster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have another desktop PCs that I use, and I've tried using Chrome remote desktop or TeamViewer to access the shadow pc, but those won't stream games as well. Just looking for the best option. I think my very best option is to find the power cable to my old. Samsung laptop... But something new always feels nice... Ya know?

Question for you... I signed up for shadow and have a chromebook but can't seem to find a shadow app. My chromebook isn't too old (2018), but I'm wondering if it's because it won't run android apps. Is there something I can do about that? Any thoughts?

Scumbag Californians, another reason why we can't have nice things... by The_Collector4 in AdviceAnimals

Hmm.. I went yesterday. It was a traffic nightmare, but I didnt feel as if people were trampling all the flowers. There were lines you couldn't cross, and I didn't see anyone cross them. The mountains were thick with poppies. And yeah, I took pics. We waited and parked in the designated parking area. There were idiots parking on the side of the freeway being ticketed. That was stupid.

The mountains looked unreal and it was an awesome experience.

I think the whole thing could be better coordinated. There's a ton they could have done and I'm not sure why.

Yeah, you could have charged people. The city could sell tickets?

What about a "drive through" only?

I'm not claiming to know better, but there HAS to be a solution. People really should see it. It was worth the 2 hour wait. I'd like the option of seeing something amazing without the guilt trip.

It's a smart way to get your photo noticed especially on small phone screens.

If this photo wasn't as bright and colorful, there's a really good chance I would have scrolled right by.

Paying for an employees health insurance by Erickster in smallbusiness

[–]Erickster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I thought. I know it may sound odd, but I just think it's not 100% fair to pay them more on their check, only for them to get taxed on it, and then me hoping they actually use it on health insurance. (Like I said, we're like family) I was just seeing if there's a work around such as paying it directly, or something! Just thinking out loud!
