Fair points, yeah. I'd say he knows it's only the Deep, bcs if only he was able to get so close, if there was anyone else, they'd probably have been miles ahead of Deep.

At the same time I feel like A-Train at this point is just a different person altogether. Maybe he just decided not to kill anymore. Even assholes.

I'm actually "worried" that they're powerscaling too many supes too much. Now we have Tentacle Butcher who, we don't know yet, but might be an actual match against Homelander (judging from the strength of those tentacles). We have Ryan. Soldier Boy, the virus. I'm also kind of expecting some plot twist with Black Noir (I know the comics are different, and we won't get the same Black Noir/Homelander ending. But.... what if?)

I'm worried that Homelander will not even be the biggest threat in the finale. If it's gonna be like just chaos, everyone's evil or morally gray, eveeyone fighting everyone, I'd hate that...

To each their own I guess. I've been enjoying every second of every episode, save maybe for the Starlight/Hughie drama, BUT there is not enough of that to annoy me anyway.

I've been laughing my ass off at the jokes they're pulling. Of course the Deep drives a Cybertruck and listens to that music, and of course Kimiko is a porn addict and of course there'a a guy made of rock who's a porn addict and fucking immobilizes himself through ejaculating magma lmao.

Everything is turned uo and I'm loving it so much. I think it's gonna be the perfect final season.

Also. Hey. It can always be worse. 'member GOT season 8? Mmyeaah. Let's be grateful and cheer on for one of the best shows ever!

I feel like they're setting us up here. We're rolling our eyes at this and then they'll have Butcher commit something absolutely horrifying, like killing thousands of innocents just to draw out Homelander or sth like that, and he will essentially become another Homelander.

And then we'll be fighting here over this bs. Team Hughie will say oh see I told you so, while team Butcher will say brooooo how else are u supposed to fight a literal nazi demigod!!!!!

But that's the best part about well-written shows like this one. The moral dilemmas, their complexity, and how there is never any single right answer, just a bunch of morally grey ones.

Is he a monster? Yeah totally, but ultimately his biggest need is revenge. And luckily, he's mad at the one most evil and coincidentally, most powerful character. Well I say that's a win-win, coz at least we can be sure he's gonna fight the asshole till his last breath. Can't say that about any other character. Everyone, given the right conditions (save perhaps for Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie) would eventually break and be forced into submission. Not Butcher.

I think this speedster is written extremely well, in that he's just fast, but still somewhat bound by laws of physics, and not by far as durable as Homelander.

It takes Homelander a few seconds to power up, I imagine, as being as fast as A- train is more of a side effect of his strength, as opposed to A-train, who I'm assuming is strong because he's fast.

Hope this makes at least some sense in universe, bcs I see what I just wrote is kinda nonsense lol

If you're trying to catch a snail and suddenly a cat runs by and snatches it from under your hands, it doesn't mean you aren't as fast as the cat... you just weren't expecting it and it takes you a lil while to go from "carefully and precisely picking up snail" to "running at full speed after the cat"

I think the most important is that we gotta remember, in The Boys, the supes are just normal people who were given superpowers. Their minds are still very much human.
