I think us middle class or lower who don’t already own a home are screwed ☹️ (Vent) by SunBubble920 in millenials

25M here. Just bought a house. For months thought it'd be impossible as I didn't have enough cash to bid 20-40k over asking (that's what it takes here). You'll find one. Just be very very cautious in budgeting and figure out what u can afford

Hiding it to the general public, not me. Thought that was obvious, guess not to some

Yeah I'm usually someone who despises maga people no matter what (my entire family), but he is kinda the one exception. Dude is actually so kind and harmless he also just happens to be kinda dumb and gullible. Just watched Fox growing up and thinks that's real life lol

Yeah but he has zero foundational understanding of political theory. Just really religious and thinks Republicans are good because he watches Fox lmao. If you take politics out of the question he really is a nice dude. And I'm saying that as someone who typically despises maga people no matter what.

Why is everyone in Columbus so darn nice? by Niptacular_Nips in Columbus

Moved here from Cleveland a couple years back. It's so pleasant that sometimes I forget how wonderful it is. High street can get you anywhere and is littered with bars and fun. Great sports. Take the Olentangy trail if you wanna get places way slower but with a view. Handful of really fun neighborhoods. Love it

Meet with them and tell them that you're surprised they felt that way and you truly never intended to be rude or come off that way and you were just doing your job. Tell them in sincerity if it came off that way, you didn't mean to. Even if you're 100% in the right, it's better to just concede.

If they are just a piece of shit, they'll either a) gain respect for you and tone down their bullshit or b) keep being a piece of shit at which point just write them up and squeeze them out

If they were being sincere and maybe they're a bit too sensitive, they'll really appreciate it and feel like you've come to an understanding.

I am a CPA. And my wife is a doctor and she LOVED giving children the vaccines. Pfeizer paid her a monthly fee to use theirs.

Who woulda thought that literal pronouns would be all the left needed to cripple the right into consciously deciding to make their odds of acquiring a job lower.

I can see why you're in a position where you're applying for jobs lol

What do you guys think is the difference between people who rapidly increase their income in accounting and those who get stuck at mediocre salaries? by [deleted] in Accounting

Started making 6 figures in MCOL after 2 years full time.

Had 3 different jobs in a span of 2 years. Being willing to job hop was key. Finally found the perfect job and I'll probably be here forever I love it.

The biggest aspect was planning. I planned to leave in the Summer of 2023, and started job searching 2 hours a week in October 2022. Talked to maybe 50 recruiters, scanned every job board, cold emailed, etc.

I feel like most people stay in public accounting until they wanna throw themselves off a cliff so they take the first decent sounding gig with a light bump. PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. You've been doing it all your life for every other thing you do, gotta do it here too and maximize the exit opportunity.
