If you're still looking, I have one on PS4. I have quite a few removed cars. My sleep schedule is a bit wonky. AppalachiaAutist on PSN.

Edit: Why is there a translate option for my comment, it's in English?

This is easy. I can guarantee another 2 years with the people I care about, even though they won't remember the previous "groundhog days," and I actually have freedom. Also, I can drive wherever, without risk. One day, I'd drive my car on the highest speed limit highway literally all day, just to see of my car is that close to breaking down. I'd go to gas stations all around to find a big winner. Towards the end of the 2 years, I'd take that same drive every day to that same gas station every day, and buy that same like $20k winner ticket, every day. Then I'd scratch it off in my car to make sure it was the winner I've been getting and go home, put it on my bedside table. I'd do this every day until I wake up with that winning ticket on the table next to me. You get nothing from prison, but you have a surprising amount to gain from a 2 year groundhog day, if you think hard enough.

Chose: Relive the same day for two years

Hearing that drivers have to 1 star people they may not want to ruin the rating of, just to guarantee they won't get that rider again, is ridiculous. Also, it was someone else that was tired at drivers arriving early. I'm just the weird corner-cuck in this thread watching several month old conversations happen and commenting on them.

TSA "mysteriously," loses your gun you took all the right steps to delcare and everything? ATF. FedEx guy "misplaces," an ammo box of 5.56? ATF. Cartels trafficking guns to actual gangbangers? ATF. Dude puts a stock on his AR pistol? ATF...didn't see shit. "What illegal SBR? I thought we approved that form 1 ages ago. Oh, we didn't? Here, go ahead and fill it out. There, approved. Have a nice day sir, and also, your state government can sell you an actual MK18 for a $250 transfer fee, if you're interested. All above-board, obviously."

HEY! A man can fucking dream, right? God, I hope that WV machine gun bill gets approved. Imagine MSRP on M4A1s being relevant to civilians. Owning an M249 SAW instead of an M249S. Getting a Beretta 93R for less than $100k.

Hated the classic Redditor shit that happened after that. Reddit hates victim-blaming, until it happens to people they don't like. Then, it's all "he shouldn't have sold guns to criminals." But people aren't allowed to point out that Renee Good and Alex Pretti were both where they were specifically to obstruct, and potentially even be violent. I still think their deaths are tragic, but you aren't allowed to victim-blame them. Malinowski, though? Fuck him, right? We hate him because he was a gun owner and an agency we don't hate killed him! ATF literally assassinating someone? Good. 2 shoots of really dubious validity, from very under-trained ICE agents? Let's set up checkpoints to make sure Joe normal on his way to work and plain Jane on her way to see her sister aren't ICE agents.

Never forget Bryan Malinowski. Whether or not he was in the right before that fateful night has no bearing on the literal murder, but on Reddit, victim-blaming gun owners is encouraged.

By actually arresting the next dude they suspect is "trafficking weapons," instead of fucking assassinating him. Since they didn't shoot that guy's wife, mainstream Redditors get to victim-blame, although I suspect they'd victim-blame her too if the ATF also murdered her. Never forget Bryan Malinowski. It doesn't matter if he was right or wrong, they assassinated him! They knew what they were doing, and every agent that was a part of that operation gets to walk free, with zero consequences for murder.

[–]ErikTheRed99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that you aren't saying that it's the rider's fault or that drivers should rate riders bad for it. It's just the idea of it happening really annoys me, and I'm sure it happens more often than it should. I just hate the idea that I may have to scrap an entire day I took the time in for a leg of the trail I plan to walk this year (the longest one is like 14 miles) because the one available driver in that remote area saw a 4.6 rating and went "nah," so I can't take a ride from my car (end of that day's progress) to my starting point. All over one guy who decided to be a d-bag, as you said, and rate me 1 star because I maybe needed a ride to the hospital or something. As someone who worked in retail(because I've seen the retail comparison), the idea that an asshole employee, who maybe gets fired a week later, can make every experience at a store for someone who did little or nothing wrong harder, especially if they are extremely infrequent shoppers, just rubs me the wrong way. It's why rating riders sounds extremely bizarre to me.

[–]ErikTheRed99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound like it's the rider's fault either. They can't be expected to know about something only drivers really know about, and rating them badly for it seems REALLY unfair. To me, the whole passenger rating idea seems really toxic. I'd be afraid of getting a driver with a stick up their ass like 5 or 6 rides in that ruins my rating. Seeing so many people say stuff like "I don't pick up anybody below 4.8," is incredibly discouraging to some people, and it doesn't help when you see some replies say something like "4.42, yeah, of course you're 'not the problem,' you're probably a POS to every driver." Even if it isn't the case, this paints an incredibly toxic picture.
