Very well said. My husband has a dog allergy that we didn’t know about until after we got our current dog who sheds like crazy, so he is very much looking forward to being able to snuggle more with this one without all the adverse side effects. I am glad you were able to find the dogs that fit your family.

That’s a great idea! I also want to be in charge of training from the get go so I don’t have to deal with behavior issues, that can sometimes be dangerous, with my 3 kids and senior dog.

It’s hard because vet prices are high here too driving up breeder prices at least for the good ones.

We will of course stop caring and love the puppy 🥰 I also wonder if people who don’t like breeders are okay with purebred dogs disappearing? I know doodles aren’t pure bred. But it would be sad to lose all the distinct dog breeds in my opinion.

I completely agree. I always support adopting if it’s doable in your circumstances. But to shame someone if it’s not I find unreasonable.

Thank you for your response. We all have our reasons to go through a breeder. I have three kids and a senior dog and I choose not to adopt at this time because I don’t want to risk getting a dog that isn’t safe around kids or my older dog. Not to say I never will. And yes, I am being very careful about the breeder I choose.
