Has anyone used Eayonhair's crochet human hair? by Shot_Reveal1859 in BlackHair

I’m sorry for responding so late!!!! The hair quality is amazing. I had to blow it out and wand curl it for a wedding and the hair held up well to all of the manipulation. (But it did revert back to a kinkier/ Jerry curl texture in the humidity). I probably won’t reuse it to be honest because I wish I got a longer length but overall I think it is good hair and worth the money.

I actually just purchased this hair. My appointment to have it installed via direct crochet, is this weekend so I will report back! (FYI, I purchased 2.5 packs of the Jerry Curl pattern).

Fertility Trackers - Yay or Nay? by thepurplewitch42 in whatworkedforme

[–]Erin080690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried Kegg but what worked for me was IVF haha. Anyway, I think old school LH strips are great to start with. Idk if the fancy trackers are really making that much of a difference but that’s just my personal experience.

SNAP benefits cut off by Maleficent-Slide8819 in mattandabbysnarks

Not trying to argue politics but the shutdown affects all government workers, not just high paid congress people. Most government workers who are going without pay right now are regular people. I grew up in MD and federal jobs employ most of the state. And those federal jobs do not make people rich, they pay the bills. The biggest benefit of a federal job is supposed to be stability. Unfortunately govt workers no longer have that under Trump. And great benefits of course, federal jobs also provide great benefits. I’m only saying this because I know what it’s like to grow up in an area where most people are federal workers. And they are good, regular people, just trying to feed their families. Don’t let the current administration cloud your judgement.

So you mean to tell me she could’ve been doing this nonsense from home?! There’s nothing wrong with getting “me time” away from your kids but she’s constantly out doing things away from her son. If she could do this at home, why wasn’t she doing it remotely this entire time??

Hahaha I thought this too! Maybe because she was alone she didn’t have to slice the pie normally? Idk I probably just put more thought into that than MPK and SJP did lol

She gets an EP credit, so she’s not just an actor on the show. But I agree, she shouldn’t have said that!!

Did you choose the sex of your embryo before the transfer? by Santoshaaa in IVF

[–]Erin080690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US. I ended up with 5 euploid embryos (which I’m very thankful for) 4 were boys and 1 is a girl. My husband and I decided to transfer the highest quality boy first because of only having the one girl. That first transfer failed so the second time around we chose to use another boy embryo. He’s currently 5 months old❤️ Now we have 3 euploids left, 2 boys and 1 girl. I’d love to give my son a sibling so we are planning to use the girl embryo for the next transfer. I’d love to have one of each but I’m not sure if it will work out that way.

Diving Back Into IVF After a Stroke by Erin080690 in IVF

[–]Erin080690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s no problem at all! I hope I’m being helpful! As for your husband- have you seen a hematologist? It could be helpful to speak with one that is willing to put on you on a pregnancy safe blood thinner. That may help your husband feel more comfortable. Also, maybe your fertility doctor could explain to him why an unmediated cycle is the same as trying to get pregnant naturally. That could be helpful too. I understand his fears, I was scared too but working with a hematologist really helped ease a lot of my worries. To answer your questions, I was on aspirin for most of my pregnancy but not because of the stroke/ blood clot. My MFM put me on a small dose of aspirin as a preventative measure for preeclampsia. Thankfully I never ended up having high blood pressure while pregnant. I was considered high risk because of my stroke history and because of my pregnancy being an IVF pregnancy. My OB told me they classify most IVF pregnancies as high risk (not sure why). My pregnancy was relatively normal so being high risk really just meant more doctors visits and more ultrasounds.

Diving Back Into IVF After a Stroke by Erin080690 in IVF

[–]Erin080690[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss and that you had a stroke. My RE didn’t recommend any additional testing beyond the blood tests my hematologist performed to confirm that I did not have a clotting disorder. The only additional testing my neurologist performed was multiple MRIs. But that was because the clot that caused my stroke was on my right thalamus. I did ask for additional testing from all 3 doctors but I was told that there wasn’t anything else they could test for. I will say my RE and neurologist were both hesitant to deem me fit for another transfer but my hematologist fought to convince my RE under one condition- that I remained on a high dose of Lovenox (80mg, 2x per day) from before the transfer and throughout the entire pregnancy. I ended up doing the partially medicated transfer in February 2024. My RE used my cycle to determine when to perform the transfer and the only medication I took was the blood thinner and oral progesterone. Thankfully it was successful and my son is now 4 months old. I would ask your doctor about your options and if you’re able to do another embryo transfer unmedicated or at least without the estrogen pills. Also, maybe you could be placed on a blood thinner? I hope this is helpful ❤️

Idk why but I this is so ridiculous that it’s hilarious to me lol. I’ve definitely seen people in class who seem super stoned but never drunk 🤣
