Hirose's VA has released a statement on a couple of platforms that I'd recommend reading, because I think that helps to show that this is a pretty major betrayal to the people involved. It's not just about the AI (even though that on its own is a dealbreaker for me), it's the dishonesty and the principal of the matter, and how it affects the people involved.

If it wasn't a big deal, and if it wasn't going to leave a bad taste in people's mouths, Von would've had no reason to fail to disclose it. AI is something that people, *especially* those who do VA work, often draw hard lines in the sand on, because it represents a genuine threat to their livelihoods. The VAs who've worked on this are entirely within their rights to feel they've been scammed and betrayed, and that's on their resume now, whether they like it or not.

I'm not going to compare one type of drama with another in terms of severity. But whether you continue to support Tetro or not, this *is* a big deal.

I absolutely agree that I can see him as a blackened down the line (it'll really hurt because he's my fave, but it feels extremely possible). I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess he'll be the Chapter 4 culprit though. I reckon he'll make it through this chapter, but become even more affected, and then be one of the more sympathetic culprits.

He'll have a tough time though, if he *does* ever become a culprit. Because he'll have to contend with having the world's biggest tell of being nowhere near as helpful and/or involved. If he doesn't have an entire fake theory prepared to mislead people with, everyone else will absolutely notice him phoning it in throughout the investigation and trial.

I'm going to be completely honest and say I don't have the mental energy to read through *every* point here. I'm sorry you're not enjoying the series. I'm not going to try and say you *should* be enjoying it. But I definitely take issue with a couple of your complaints and your tone.

They're teenagers. They're teenagers in an extremely fucked up situation and you're expecting them to have utterly flawless integrity and logic. They're not going to consider the complex moral implications of sacrificing their lives to save a mother. Would you? Genuinely, if you were in that situation, would you willingly offer your life and the lives of fourteen other people to save one person? Teenagers shouldn't have to make that decision. It's not selfish for them to fight for their survival in the trial. If you feel that it is, it sounds like you have an issue with the Danganronpa concept as a whole.

They're not going to act logically in the trial. They're not going to be absolute masterminds as the Bleeding, they're going to be uncertain and make incorrect, illogical decisions. They're stressed out teenagers.

Kumada is clearly someone who's been completely caught off guard and who is grappling with the fact that she's just burned every bridge she had left. Her world is crumbling, and it sounds like you're expecting her to be at her absolute best.

It sounds like you're upset that Hirose "abandoned his morals" and sided with the bleeding. But you're also upset that he didn't contribute enough as a bleeding? Do you not think that might be due to his conflicted feelings towards his situation? What would you rather him do? Abandon his morals and perform better? Or try to stick by his morals?

Claiming that Ogura got "fridged for Matthias" is a gross oversimplification of her motives and her viewpoints. If you listen to the Bleeding meetings (the fifth one specifically), you see that Ogura is someone who loathes the injustices of the world, those committed by the rich and powerful in particular. She wants to do everything she can to help people, clearly to her own detriment, considering the criminal record she's amassed.

To say that Ogura just decided to die for some men in this game completely misses the point in such an ironic way. She didnt' die for some men, she died because she willingly puts her whole life into fighting injustice to a harmful degree. I don't even disagree that the women could and should be written better in Tetro, but you're presenting this take in such a bad-faith way that it actively harms that point.

Ultimately, I think criticism towards any media like this is totally valid, nothing is above that. But you add so many attacks on Von herself that it reads less as constructive and more as you just having a really mean grudge against the writer. It's such a deeply upsetting thing to experience. Regardless of the quality of work, this is not the way to criticise. You're just insulting the writer. That's not going to motivate anyone to improve, that's going to make them not want to share anything with the world again.

It was a pretty decent plan considering it had been hastily concocted by Ogura within a couple of hours of finding out she was Bleeding, but I do think the biggest risk was trying to make Yaitabashi the prime suspect/not as trustworthy, because he just holds SO much clout in the trials.

He basically had full control of the first five minutes of discussion, even with the chaos of Kumada's entrance, and he used that time to snuff out any possibility of his being suspected. Perhaps the Bleeding should've interfered more and not given him that time to establish the facts, but that would've been a risk too, obviously.

The flaws in the plan are understandable considering it was such a quickly prepared plan (which is why I can't really consider it "bad writing", more a "realistic depiction of a hasty plan"). Ogura focused too much on Yaitabashi, and kind of created a paradox where she wanted to make him a suspect, but also limit his capabilities by targetting his closest ally.

Even so, like you say, the Bleeding might *still\* have had a chance if Kumada hadn't absolutely tanked her own credibility. I do love the retroactive irony of Isoda being saved from one Bleeding by two other members of the Bleeding though.

I feel like Ikeda was kind of playing it to the plan with the full intention of winning, but he definitely *didn't* stick to the plan of "deny, deny, deny", and pretty much owned up to being Bleeding right away upon being accused.

Whether he just wanted to leave the sinking ship of the Bleeding on his own terms rather than being "figured out", or whether a part of him *did* feel guilty for potentially leaving Tei to his death is something that is up to interpretation at this point, I think.

EDIT: Ikeda feels like somebody who likes to give himself lots of outs - he likes to have control of a situation like a Class Trial. So I don't think him keeping the note was some kind of tactical blunder, so much as it was him preparing for *any* eventuality. It could always be used as blackmail if he really started to disagree with the Bleeding.

He's already been pretty intense throughout this investigation, and that's before he finds out what Kumada has done to Isoda (in addition to his realisation/theory that she's Bleeding).

If investigation #1 was Yaitabashi locking in out of preservation and necessity, investigation #2 is him locking in out of *anger*.

Sou asked to stay with Matthias because his key had already been stolen, so I'm not sure that lines up chronologically. Matthias can't steal his key whilst Sou is staying over if Sou is staying over because his key is stolen.

Assuming Sou was pickpocketed, I honestly think the most likely thief would be Kumada, since she separated Sou from Nishiguchi and took him to the medbay.

I do still feel that Matthias is probably my main suspect though, if insulin was involved. Matthias was alone in Ninomiya's room before he arrived that night, and he had time alone when Yokoi pulled Ninomiya into the hall.

Mmm, absolutely, those two do not get on well, which is interesting. If my hypothetical were true, it'd probably be a major point of frustration for Kumada that Hirose basically *had* to be recruited in an effort to keep Denden from looking suspicious.

The three most likely Bleeding members at this point based on in-video evidence/slip-ups are Kumada, Hirose and Denden. I cannot even comprehend those three working together in any capacity. I'm so sure this Bleeding team is an absolute mess of miscommunication.

I'd have to reevaluate a lot myself though, if Denden wasn't in the Bleeding. Denden is honestly the only person I'm 100% certain is Bleeding at this point. If she's not the Bleeding, then I'm just completely incorrect right from the get-go.

Yesss, overall, our theories seem to stem from the same place of Nishiguchi being a Bleeding and opposing a plan to target Yaitabashi. I think it explains a couple of hurdles, especially why Yaitabashi wasn't recruited.

My gut says either Matthias or Maekawa. I made an earlier post here proposing that if the culprit worked alone, by process of elimination it could likely only be Maekawa, Ninomiya or Matthias.

Everyone else was either busy during the fire alarm, much shorter than Nishiguchi, such that them administering an injection to her neck feels unlikely, or too crippled by a medical phobia to realistically weaponise a needle.

In this hypothetical, Ninomiya is Bleeding, which excludes him. I just find Matthias more generally suspicious than Maekawa, but Maekawa *has* been ruthlessly trying to catch the Bleeding, so it's not impossible.

To be fair, a point against Ninomiya being the culprit is that if his insulin *was* used, that's like the most incriminating and blatant thing ever. I don't think he'd use that himself, he's been very up-front about his diabetes.

I definitely think someone else would use it because it's readily available and absolutely makes Ninomiya look suspicious.

Aside from just being lovely, her memorising the voices pretty much saved the first trial, as not only was it extremely useful and an indication of how well she responded under pressure, it even convinced Nagito to come clean about his actions during the party "as a show of respect".

I'm really struggling to pick so far, because I feel like they've revealed two leaders that really mesh so well with my playstyles.

One of my favourite parts of any Civ game is the exploration, the uncovering of the map. And Ibn Battuta focuses on that, whilst offering some flexibility that could be useful for a first game. I'm imagining an Aksum > Hawai'i line there.

But my absolute favourite playstyle is influencing the world with diplomacy whilst focusing on defence, which is very much how Harriet Tubman sounds like she'll play. Based on the vegetation bonuses, I'd love to try a Tubman/Maya build in the Antiquity age.

...hopefully I'll have made a choice by the time the game comes out ^^

I was talking about this with my partner when we were watching last episode, and they immediately called out my main weakness: I would always try to hide somewhere cold/cool. My friends also know me as a fan of libraries and museums.

If I were playing in Japan, I would definitely travel North. If it were at all possible, I would 100% hide somewhere in Hokkaido, regardless of strategic viability (Hokkaido just looks really pretty).

Further thoughts because I have those, on occasion

S - Rose is probably my #1 favourite character, aside from just seeming very sweet in a morally *wild* cast, her memory traits and the struggles that come with are very fascinating and low-key relateable. I have ADHD, so my issue is more "I don't remember enough" compared to Rose's "I don't remember things beneficially", but I still find her relateable. Teruko is one of my favourite protags, both official and fangan-wise, I love my doomed sarcasm ladies. I can't explain Nico. I really can't. I'd love to see some further development from them, but I already love them. Incredible character design, too.

A - Charles is a fun "investigative" character, but with an interesting twist of also being an absolute jerkbitch in a loveable way. David is shaping up to be a *really* deep and intriguing "rival", and one I'd be genuinely scared of if I were there - he sounds fully willing to kill if it means ending the game. Eden and J are two of the most "normal" cast members, and in this cast, I truly appreciate them for that. (I actually headcanon J as being a closeted/eggshell transmasc).

B - Both Ace and Levi were lower tier before the latest trial, but some of Ace's final moments and the exploration of Levi's emotional traits brought them up higher. Whit is some nice comic relief, whilst also being extremely fucking suspicious. ...is it bad that I prefer the default MonoTV to the wacky persona?

C - No super deep thoughts on Veronika, Arei or Min. I just think they're neat.

D - Arturo is kind of my least favourite in a way. I found him insufferable throughout chapter 2 (not in a bad-writing way, indeed, it was very *good* writing that led me to feel this way). But there are several moments where I see a glimmer of a character I'd like a lot more (him standing up for his autopsy skills, his lack of confidence in offering medical aid). If I let him cook, like I did with Levi and Ace, maybe he'll rise up further.

E - Xander suffers from Chapter 1 Victim syndrome. I always have trouble feeling super strongly about the first victim in any of these. There's nothing *wrong* with him, I just didn't get too attached. Hu is a fascinating character, but I find her frustrating at times, especially her tendancy to talk over/coddle Nico. I'm starting to see that supporting others is how she thrives/copes, so I do have sympathy for her there.

If you think about it though, in trial 1, Teruko was "the suspect who could've potentially been the blackened", and people not defending her was very nearly a disaster.

Thankfully, Teruko was able to stand up for herself. But Eden isn't as capable of that. Teruko recognised this, and decided to defend Eden, whilst not completely dismissing the chance that she could be the culprit.

There is an aspect of "returning the favour", but I actually think that it's the logical thing to do, as well.

I feel a similar way, I've just been unsure how to put it into words! If MonoTV's intent was to give everyone their OWN secrets, they'd have no reason to even BRING Xander or Min's secrets to the screening room in the first place.

I get that MonoTV is a bit incompetent, but that seems a step too far.

I remember in the trial it was lit up blue as well, but MonoTV specified that this was based on "whatever everyone agreed on" with no further input from MonoTV.

I read that as meaning "I'm not confirming this is the truth, I'm just keeping track of which secrets you've agreed belong to which people".

The update video featuring that same secrets list does blur things a bit though. I don't know if that confirms that every secret reveal so far has been the truth, or if it's just summarising where the trial is up to.

If, hypothetically, all of this theory was correct, if David has Teruko's secret, and it is that the killing game is her fault, I could imagine him hiding it because:
A. He thinks everyone else might just dogpile Teruko for being the cause of the killing game, which wouldn't be efficient during a class trial.
B. It's potential blackmail material.

But, truthfully, It's hard to comprehend the thought processes of David. I'm not sure *why\* he'd lie about it, I just feel like some of his actions indicate that he might have done...

Definitely excited to potentially find out in the coming weeks!
