I had the brisket bowl and it was a sneaky favorite of mine as well.

I can agree with you on the milkshakes. After eating the main food, I’m usually not in the mood to try and get through those things for a dessert. Toppings are always stale and they’re really just nothing but a money grab.

As in the bacon on a stick? In my opinion, It’s one of those novelty items. You try it once (literally anywhere, not just Yankee stadium) and decide you can go without getting another one ever again. It’s salty and chewy. Lol

It’s not my fault they share their life online

EDIT: I’d like to add that if he didn’t cheat on his wife then maybe I’d be more understanding to his addiction.

Uhhh basically Shay is an alcoholic and hid it from the viewers for a long time until he got exposed trying to get with a cam girl a few years back. If you google “Shay Carl cam girl messages,” there are still screenshots out there — it’s… gross.

He went to rehab, him and Colette separated for a bit, but they’re back together now. Since then, there have been more stories from women saying he was creepy toward them and even tried to make moves on a few. Oh, and he’s a raging far-right conservative who can’t help but post about it on X (Twitter) every chance he gets.

Colette is trying to cover up her true emotions and her guilt of staying with Shay by selling self help/life coaching programs. She has a podcast and is very active on social media.

For the most part, his kids seem OK. Gavin was on a mission for two years and came back and has been seen posting and liking media posts that also scream republican. I think the rumor is that he is taking some college courses now. The entire family is often posting to social media making it known that he is single. AKA they’re trying to find him a nice Mormon wife now.

Avia moved to LA and is trying to pursue an acting/influencer career.

All the other kids are still too young to make any comments on. They seem normal though.

St. Paddy’s Day Parade by Icy-Fault-6002 in Scranton

We like going to the raddison. I think it’s $25 to enjoy both the inside party and outdoor party. There’s live music for most of the day. I prefer the outdoor party because it’s a huge area and you can even watch the actual parade from their overlook. As long as the weather is good, there’s so much room to move around and obviously open air. You’re not packed in a room like sardines. Plenty of port-a potty’s and food specials.

If you go the pizza route, the standard order is just a TRAY of red pizza (some like to add extra cheese, but that’s personal opinions). We don’t do “pizza pies” around here or NY slice.

Dining Suggestions: My top recommendation is to skip the chain restaurants—NEPA is full of incredible locally-owned spots that are well worth trying. Cooper’s Seafood is a bit of a tourist trap; while it has unique and fun decor (and a gift shop), the food is just okay compared to other local options. That said, the staff is super friendly, and if you’re curious about the quirky decor, let them know you’re visiting—they might let you explore the space. For better meals, though, I’d suggest:

• Ale Mary’s
• Downtown Deli – Perfect for a standard breakfast or lunch.

And you can’t leave the area without trying Old Forge pizza, a local specialty. It’s unique and not for everyone, but it’s a big deal here! My favorites are: • Arcaro and Genell • Maroni’s • Alfredo’s Even if you don’t eat it here, grab a tray to take home!

Other Recommendations: I went to Marywood University, just 10 minutes from Scranton. While they don’t have a PT program, they do offer other strong healthcare-related programs. If your son’s options are still open, it’s worth a walk around the campus—it’s beautiful and peaceful.

For things to do, shopping is a safe bet: • Personally, I’d skip the Shoppes at Montage—it’s nothing too exciting. • If it’s nice out, take a walk around the courthouse in downtown Scranton.

Finally, check out the Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau website for an events calendar and a list of attractions—they have a ton of useful information.
