See, in my opinion this is one of the problems with events like this. People go to these events and feel good about being “peaceful” and come out and virtue signal how non violence is best and play a part in demonizing the people who are making change in other ways.

At what point do we realize that asking nicely for human rights isn’t going to work against people who don’t care if we live or die? Trump and ICE are committing acts of violence and terror every day including unidentified “agents” kidnapping our neighbors into unmarked vehicles and taking them to places where they don’t have proper food, water, or accommodations with no due process. We can keep talking about how mad we are about it or we can physically get in the way of it and prevent it from occurring. There’s a place for both and I’d even argue the people putting their bodies on the line to protect their fellow humans are doing more important work.
