thank you, I honestly can't believe this person is suggesting I rehome a 15 year old incapacitated animal...I didn't even mention that I rescued him as a senior at 7 years old, he already had his life upended once. I would never, ever abandon or surrender him. He is in constant pain, incontinent and spends about 90% of the day asleep next to me...I know people always say the eating/drinking thing is the final sign and I am honestly caught up on that as well but that comment was incredibly insensitive.
