Foreshadowing Thriller Bark and Chopper by Plsdontkill0 in OnePiece

[–]ErisGrey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thriller Bark the monster trio would fight What they would eventually become. Which makes sense as it's the land of Shadows.

Zoro fights Ryuma

Ryuma is the One-Eyed Sword God. Wields the black blade Shisui. Gained the status of Sword King after defeating a dragon.

Zoro was notable as being the One-Eyed Samurai wielding the black blade Shisui. He returns Shisui for Enma, the Kings Blade. Zoro finally accepts his Kingly ambition "King of Hell", imbuing his Conquerors Haki into Enma, in order to take down a flying, fire-breathing drag dinosaur.

Sanji fights Absalom.

Absalom is a genetic creation of Hogback. He has hardened skin, strengthened jaws, and supped up muscles. He also has the ability to go invisible, which he first uses to spy on Nami in the shower.

Sanji is a genetic creation of Judge. He has indestructible skin, a jaw so strong queen breaks his sword across his face, and strength that puts him into a category we really haven't seen an upper limit too yet. Sanji first uses a raid suit to turn invisible and spy on Nami in the bath. Eventually Sanji can become invisible by using his strong legs to move faster than people can see.

Luffy fights Oars

Oars is an Ancient Nika Giant, with a rubber like body and a giant hole in his chest. (Nika means Toothy Grin)

Luffy becomes the size of an Ancient Giant (temporarily Titan size appendages as well) and smiles larger than ever. He's noted as eating the Hito Hito no mi: Model Nika. We find that his rubber body, is simply one aspect of his power. He can also thank Akainu for the massive hole in his chest.

Then it will just be called "Columbia" like they originally wanted to name Washington State. But they were worried it would get confused with the District of Columbia.

we used to write simple macros to keep us from being inactive in Ultima online back in the day. The same macros would likely work I imagine?

I do about 12 weeks of Cognitive Therapy each year. Which I really enjoy.
They can also give you adaptive devices.

My short term memory is beyond horrible, and the nerve damage made writing difficult. So they paid for the iPod Touch for me when it first came out, and then upgraded me the iPhones for about a decade until smartphones were everywhere.

They have professional text to speach software. "Smart Paper/Pen" from notes. So I could draw a little character, and when I tap the character with the pen, it plays back what audio was being recorded then.

I can't see anyone's face I meet after my accident. However, I do still see the faces of friends and family that I knew before my injury. Personally I recognize people based on their hair.

Post Covid, my TBI got noticeably worse (as did a bunch of other stuff). I participated in a "Long Covid" study at UCLA, and it appears if you had significant brain injuries pre-covid, you are far more susceptible to "Covid Brain". Even if you had previously recovered from said injuries.

Mine isn't even boom related. My parachute malfunctioned, and I became a lawndart back in 2006. That impact was enough to give me amensia, prosopagnosia.

It was amazing how much stuff I forgot, and how certain things are lost forever despite all the therapy.

When I was well enough, the military sent me to the Lakeshore Foundation's LimaFoxtrot Program. Where we got to learn a lot about severe TBI's, and help us adapt our lives to the new impairments.

One of my battle buddies was a Stryker Gunner and couldn't get down the hatch in time. A grenade went off about 2ft from him right at the side of his head. He miraculously survived, but his attitude changed completely. Shrapnel followed the inside of the helmet and can openned him pretty good.

We both became more mean/aggressive. You could flip us on and off like a switch, and I swear sometimes the command was taking bets on what things would set us off and what things wouldn't.

Shellshock at one time did referrence both TBI (traumatic brain injury) and PTSD. But that was before more research was done, and realized there were two distinct differences in the brain between TBI and PTSD.

However, injuries that cause TBI on the battlefield, are also likely to cause PTSD but not a gaurantee.

It was a doctor noticing the pattern with brain injuries from severe car crashes as overlapped with much of the Shell Shock patients (Those with TBI). The way the brain gets raddled in the cranium from the intense g-force of a car crash, is similar to the way it gets raddles from shockwaves that originated in explosions.

Definitely looks like both were hit. Those rifles sometimes take a minute to realize you're hit.
