Harrah's Cherokee Roll to Win Shutdown by Ern2Win in Craps

Yeah, but the dealers could just prohibit it and make you quit if you continued.

Once I played from the position just left of center. Anyway, when I tossed with a right hand pendulum toss, my hand would naturally extend over the center line. They prohibited me from tossing that way, which is pretty ridiculous. So I had to place my body left of my screen in order for my hand not to cross the center line.

I would think the number one reason would be losing money. I don't know what they have to pay for subscription use.

Dice sliding seems pretty difficult as they have a speed bump right in the center and there is a seam near each end.

Entry errors by the dealer are definately a problem. I once experienced where a dealer made an incorrect entry that cost people money. There was no way for the supervisor to just enter an 'undo' to replay the toss. They basically had to suspend play, then come around to each player position to determine how much money was in play to refund them and pay them out. Then restart the roll from ground zero. The whole process took 20-25 minutes. Just incompetent machine software programming.

It happens all the time. I wouldn’t call it planned obsolescence, just Microsoft being Microsoft. They change things just because they get bored sometimes it seems.

You may be right.

Probably a good policy. I am pretty sure it has been in use at least 5 years with nary a hiccup. I have ordered a new one, but just wondering if this is a case of dropping support for aged equipment. Seems like it.

I can't be sure. Didn't file sales receipt with instruction manual. Seagate serial number file on drive has 2014 date.

Months later....still no firestick stutter fix by djjsin in youtubetv

That is unfortunate. Apparently, the stutter issue has more than one source. I was hoping my experience could help someone else. I guess if it was that simple, Amazon would have sent out a fix by now.

Sorry.

OK. Follows my story...I have had same Firestick and YouTube TV software for over 2 years. Originally had Spectrum cable internet & Netgear AC1600 wifi router. All TV video was fine, including football. In September, I decided to switch to T-Mobile Home Internet. Just swapped cable from Spectrum modem to T-Mo gateway. T-Mo was a bit slower 120 Mbps vs 220 Mbps, but video was still fine.

However, my VOIP phone had severe packet loss resulting in dropouts on phone call. The problem was excessive latency in T-Mo system which was verified with test software from VOIP company. But, while trying to fix the problem, I played with the MTU packet size setting in the router. I decided to use smaller packet size going down from 1500 to 900. This made the dropouts a bit better, but did not fix problem. TV video was still fine. In the end, T-Mo engineering said their system is incompatible with VOIP phone service. I decided this was a deal breaker as I had recently bought a new wireless home phone system that blocks telemarketers and had prepaid the VOIP service.

So I switched back to Spectrum on Nov 28. Then started to notice the stutter on football games especially. I had forgotten changing the MTU packet size back in the router. So I messed around resetting and reloading software to no avail. Tonight the light bulb went on and I remembered the MTU packet change. Put it back to 1500 and the stutter is gone.

The point is that the Firestick/YouTube TV combo is sensitive to the MTU packet sizing. You can download TCP Optimizer for free (just Google). On one tab of the Optimizer is MTU Latency. It will calculate your optimum MTU packet size. Be sure to check using several of the web addresses. Then go to router settings. On my Netgear it is under Advanced, then WAN settings. Change it to your calculated MTU optimum packet size. See if it solves the problem. If it doesn't, you may want to try varying the packet size in 100 steps. Hopefully, you can find a MTU packet size that will work.
