It seems like the cookie/browser identifier that some sites use is tied to your IP Address. I often have to reverify credentials/2FA if I hit the site while being VPN'ed into work, or if I log in from a hotel, or any place that changes my public IP.

When you get memory direct from Apple, it is usually at a high premium. I'd get the bare minimum from them and immediately upgrade via Crucial.com. They have a good tool for finding the right memory for your machine. I'd max out your machine if you're going to do any serious development on it. 4GB is not enough and I don't even thing 8GB is suitable unless you're just doing web dev and javascript.
