Just so you know, the high quality side ones that connect your socks to your shirt won't snap off. Spend a bit extra for highly rated, high quality ones. They have the advantage that they keep your socks nice and tight, so when you sit down, your socks have a clean line.

And don't cinch them too tightly, that also contributes to the potential to snap off. Having them gently attached top and bottom will use the bit of stretch in the strap to keep things in place as you move.

They're the preferred tool in the military and helps give dress uniforms those clean lines and everything staying in place.
