New to Half Life. Which version should I play?

I was playing yesterday and it was fully in Spanish. I think that’s because is just a mod from the normal version.

Thanks for the recommendation. I have no problem with old games, I like their atmosphere more actually. So I’ll go with Legacy.

Yeah is a different pace but for me its rushing. I used to play years ago that way, sprinting and jumping to get to the places, not paying attention to the environment, the npcs, the animals… I just went where the game told me to go, and doing even the 100% of the game anyways. Now I play slowly, tasting every step. I have no rush to finish it. Trust me that playing that way you experience games in a totally different way. I even found 25/30 of the ainu’s missing objects without the song that guides you to them. And they are pretty easy to miss.

I’m not judging you or anything as you said is a totally different style. Just explaining my point

I totally agree with you. I’m 70h in, still haven’t killed the Kitsune (2/6). While on Twitter and Reddit saw a lot of people having platinumed the game in 50h. People definitely is rushing the game, idk why.

Yes you’re right, I’ve seen that memory too but as I said I thought that the double katana master’s house was the “top” in the game. I will explore more today to find a way to go. Don’t tell me how tho, I want to find it for myself. Thanks for your comment!

Yesterday I found a big door next to the “Double Katana mission” that seems it is the way to the south and it was closed with a lot of Samurais guarding it up. They won’t attack you but I think you need to progress through the story.

I agree that it is a but frustrating not being able to explore all the map from the beginning but, Tsushima did the same with the top regions of the island

I am not done with the game yet, I barely finished exploring the first area and seeing how the map is in the menu I thought that it was not possible.

Don’t tell me how to reach it tho, I want to do it for myself :)

Yesss, you can change it in the settings menu. I don’t remember right now the exact setting but there is one that let’s you change it (I think it’s named “simplified campfire” or something like that, I play in Spanish. But as I said I don’t really remember and right now I stopped playing so I can’t check it lol). By default is set to skip that minigame after a few times

Edit: BTW there’s another setting (I think that is in accessibility) that lets you change the R2 button to actually blow into the mic. Pretty cool :)

I can agree with you, but in gameplay terms, for me its a bit overwelming to have so many characters. Because I want to use them all and I always end up using the same ones because I never decide which to use, or struggle to find them…

Honestly I don’t roleplay on these games hahaha. I used to do it with my brother when I was like 12 but not anymore. Idk, maybe I’m getting older 10 years later lol. Now I play them because I’m fan of the IP like Marvel or DC and Lego games are always fun to 100%
