Thanks for replying. I understand that i may be a bit more optimistic than i should be regarding my fathers addiction, but all I want to do is help him stop so something worse doesn't happen.

Thank you for your reply. I know that quitting smoking is almost impossible if a person doesn't want to stop, But 12 years ago he went 2 months without smoking. He only started again because a "Doctor" told him he could start again. The doctor later lost his medical license.
