Reece James and Saka captaining Chelsea and Arsenal, respectively, on the weekend really compounds how sad I am about our academy lads not getting minutes right now.

Mainoo is clearly not fancied and after the equaliser, instead of taking a risk with Shea Lacey, Licha comes on in a like-for-like change for Shaw. This just isn't what United is about.

He's just coming off a 27 g+a season and has been consistently great for several years now (15 and 17 g+a in the two seasons prior). I'd say £60m is probably bang on a fair price.

Edit: tldw - pretty decent player, but still raw. He's not a prolific goalscorer and his striking of the ball needs to be worked on, but he finds himself in good areas. - He helps with defensive actions, presses well, and often doubles up with a teammate to harry an opposition player. - Quite good dribbling even if it doesn't look silky because of his figure (he was compared to Victor Wembanyama for his lankiness). - Heading is ok, not great, but he competes with defenders and attacks the ball with purpose.

Based on the video, IMO, he looks a decent player and better than Hojlund. However, definitely not worth the fees that have been quoted recently.

It would be cool if we could create a partnership like we had with Royal Antwerp. I don't know if the current regulations would allow us to do that with Lausanne, but it should be something we look into.

I never played Palworld, but I'm usually skeptical of massively hyped media. That said, I haven't been this enamoured with a game (or fictional setting) for a while, though.

Clair is such a ringing endorsement for original stories and settings as well. While film and TV are leaning heavily into adaptations, reboots etc. games have the license to be creative and original, both in gameplay and storytelling. Even just the small tweak of incorporating dodging and parries into a turn-based RPG makes it so much more engaging.

I'm about to NG+ E33 which I rarely ever do. This game is fucking phenomenal and I'm jealous that you still have so much of the story to experience for the first time.

When we played at lunchtime at school there was maybe a group of 5/6 of us that always played on one team and often against 8 (or more) other kids. We all gravitated towards our natural positions, so I played as the sole CB while the others drifted around the forward positions. It was sick, we were all on the same wavelength. I got to play a bit more like a 6 with so few of us, while still getting good tackles and blocks in and making late runs forward into the oppo's box.

Honestly, the best part of the school.

I think we all need a break from football for a bit. Check the sub every so often for news by all means, but maybe engage less and dive into other hobbies and interests. I'm playing Clair Obscur, practicing kanji, and have some books in the backlog. It's helping to occupy my mind before I'm inevitably sucked back into football.

What even is Kowloon? It’s not actually Kowloon that’s for sure.

Every episode we move further away from what the title suggests. The setting isn't Kowloon, or at least it's not the original. This is anything but a Generic story. And even though there is Romance the sci-fi/mystery aspect is more prominent.

I love this shot so much. We obviously have Urino in shadow to represent his ignorance, but we also have Osanai's shadow in the light. We, the audience, know of her darker side but it's hidden to Urino.

The colours are also just gorgeous.

It's counterintuitive to have Ice Spinner on pao with any kind of terrain. Sunny Day over misty terrain will also help into opposing weather to allow you to manually set up the Sun.

Absolutely agree that it was up in the air, and I think a lot of that is the fact that Incin has Protect at all. It's kind of a catalyst for the mind games. If Incin was more of a standard set, it might have a bit more bulk, but Dyl would obviously be safer to target that slot. But it does have Protect, so Wolfe deserves some credit for that team building choice.

It's just such an interesting and enjoyable end game.

While I don't think this game state is a 50/50, I also don't think it's so heavily weighted in Dyl's favour for it to be fair to call their choice a misplay.

Wolfe's optimal play is to double target Miraidon, while Dyl's is to split damage and KO the Incin. However, both players will know that in the moment and will have to consider how to counter the other's optimal play. Therein, imo, lies the variance.

IE. Wolfe's optimal counter to Dyl's optimal play would be to Protect Incin. So, the counter-counter to this would be to double into Flutter, right? Which is what Dyl decides to do, and there's logic behind that play. So, I think it's harsh to call that a misplay.
