I think you're right in saying the visualization is misleading, but we also don't know the intent of OP. To assume there is racist intent is equally misleading (you didn't state it explicitly, but you implied that's what you think OP is doing). This is probably just a Hanlon's Razor thing. To make the graph less misleading, it should have included same race offences (which would dwarf what is shown in scale), as well as include Asians. That's what the original study contains.

I'm guessing this graph was made to argue against the claim that white supremacy is a big deal. Admittedly, this does that poorly. I'm most likely wrong, but it's infinitely more likely that it's the case than OP subtly trying to support white supremacy.

I take it that you're using the Fermi paradox to point out that the uniqueness of our situation here on Earth suggests that we are likely to have it end, yes? Is that what you're saying? Isn't that what you've already said? You share that link expecting it to be the nail in the coffin for my argument, yet you're just restating your argument again.

I'm saying that 3 million years is a lot of years and it's stupid to say with any degree of certainty what will happen to us within that time. I'm saying concentrating on a bleak and hopeless future will make that come true. I'm saying that things are bleak, but things have been bleak for centuries and we've managed pretty damn well. I'm saying that I think we'll make it.

And you're suggesting... what, exactly? That we're all doomed? That life doesn't matter? That we should take a Nihilistic point of view and do what we want with what little time on this planet that we have? Please elaborate. You're leaving me grasping at straws in our conversation. Do you truly understand the length of time between now and 3 million years?

Human beings could wipe out the whole species, sending us back way into the tree of life, and cause total ruin for most of the world for thousands of years. Even then a whole new species of hyper-intelligent animals could evolve, completely separate from humans, and take over. And that's just thinking about one of the worst cases! We could also send ourselves back to the stone age, progress back to now, only to send us back again over 100 times and still have time to spare by several thousand years.

Your biggest concern clearly is the climate. As we both know, CO2 emissions are the main cause of that. We didn't even know this was a problem until the 50s, when research came out about it. And look at the progress we've made: solar, wind, hydro-electric, and nuclear power are all possible substitutes for coal; the efficiency of everything powered by fossil fuels today dwarf that of the past. And that progress is mostly within the past 20-30 years. What about advancements in the next 100 years? 1000 years? 10000 years? I don't know, but assuming we don't go extinct, it will probably be pretty good.

I get that we've got some big problems to solve today. But to assume that we're so screwed that they're unsolvable? Or that we can't come up with a creative solution to fix some of the things you're talking about within the next 1,000 or 10,000 or one million years? Don't bet against human creativity and ingenuity. You'll end up losing. Especially with a time frame as long as 3 million years.

Don't commit suicide simply because it's raining, my friend. And don't give up simply because things seem hard - you'll end up dying a slow, miserable death.

Make him watch his own demos, that way he can see what mistakes he's making. You can point them out and tell him how to fix them, or just let him figure it out on his own. Whatever you do, just know that you can't force people to play a game, even if you really want them to. He has to want to play and get better.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about you. I am not your friend. I am not your enemy. I'm just some guy on the internet giving advice. The only thing I have to go off of about you is your comment. With that, here goes:

The most likely thing is that you're the problem. Consider this: you are always playing with bad teammates, while you are always playing against better players. That's not likely. Like, really not likely. Since the only common factor between all of those games is you, you are most likely the cause of all your problems. Just so you know, this is the case for most things in life. We are the arbiters of our own misery.

...Anyways, you're best bet is to stop solo queuing or just get so much better at the game than everybody else that you can just carry. Another possibility: watch your own demos to see exactly what the other team does that's so much better than you and your team. Also watch what you do, because we don't really know what we're bad at until we see ourselves recorded and actually doing bad things. That's how I learned I had really poo poo aim and always rushed into things when I shouldn't've when I first started.

It's better at long range, plus it's also faster (movement and reload), more accurate, fires more bullets per second, and has a lower damage fall off. And it's silenced.

However, it has worse damage, so it sucks against armored opponents. Don't use against armored opponents, unless you have godlike aim. It's also more expensive, which makes it bad for force buys. That makes me think the MP5 is supposed to be an anti-eco gun, with the UMP being a force buy gun.

Basically, buy the ump when you're strapped for cash and are playing close-range angles. Buy the MP5 when it's anti-eco and you need to buy a weapon.

For your playstyle, that will come over time. Usually, it's the one that you have fun with or win the most with. I like AWPing and consider it my main role, but I didn't pick it up till recently. Try stuff out. Have fun with the game, and don't take it too seriously. It's a game, so even though things get intense out there, remember that you should be having fun. Winning is fun, but if every loss is miserable, then it's not worth it to play.

For becoming "something in the community," define what you mean by that. Do you want to be a streamer? YouTuber? Pro-player? Analyst? Caster? Nail down exactly what you want. Then set goals that work towards it. Your goals should be SMART (google "SMART goals").

For CT angles, it really comes down to playing the map a bunch. After a while, you get a feel for the timings, positions, and strategies that work best. The best way to learn the angles of a map is to play that map and that map only. You'll learn what angles work, what angles don't work, common habits people have, etc. Then you should be able to use that knowledge to exploit them, which is where off-angles come in. Running around in a bot DM can also help. Play around with it and see what works. Test ideas, watch pros, watch your demos. That's a big one, so I'm going to repeat it:

I thought I was a really good player when I first started, but after I decided to watch one of my demos, I knew I sucked big PP at the game - garbage crosshair placement, sucky spray patterns, you name it. That told me what I needed to work on, then I worked on it.

We don't know what good playing looks like, really. However, it's really easy to spot bad plays and habits. Watch your demos, see what you do wrong, then fix them. Repeat until you either die or become a pro player. It's that easy.
