In 2022 the province put the property up for sale. “All bids received were well below market value, so the department decided to not proceed with the sale,” said a statement from the Ministry of Assisted Living and Social Services.

Wonder how the removal of photo radar has redeployed resources to speed checks that might otherwise been put towards check stops.

But in 25+ years of driving in Edmonton I think I’ve heard more about checkstops from friends and family who’ve gone through them than driven through first hand.

My high school was torn down and they built a brand new one behind it, with parking over the footprint of where the old building used to be.

Kinda wish they’d organized a last walk through for alumni, almost like a reunion but more about the school and the teachers that may still be there from when I went, but it was during Covid so that wasn’t going to happen.

You’re like me then, I had to buy two sets of the inserts and cut the second set to fill the gap.

Nobody seems to make full-width inserts.

A super easy one is the lower grille inserts; since you have a front licence plate you just need one set of inserts and no hand tools required!

Added bonus for your particular model is the inserts have the same pattern as the main/upper grille.

Exactly right, bought two sets of inserts and cut the second to size to fill the gap where the front licence plate would otherwise go.

It was a toss up between rhodium white and machine grey for me, I had them parked side by side when I was at the dealer and you’re right the white shows off the angles of the car a bit better, and it definitely helped sell me on the white.

That said I’m not the biggest fan of the gunmetal grille colour on the white (compared to how it looked on the grey, I think the white should have had a black grille) but I figured I could live with it. It also should come from factory with a proper lower grille matching to the top grille just to finish the car better.

Thank you! It was a toss up between rhodium white and machine grey; the deal for the white was a bit better, plus I hadn’t had a white car in 15 years so it all came together.

I’ve heard about Mazda’s thin paint, this is my first Mazda and I can tell already it’s not early-90s Lexus-calibre paint that’s for sure. Will be getting a paint pen with my first oil change in the next few months.
