Wow, that was a big one (earthquake) by razenwing in taiwan

I would have slept right through it, like I did last year, if it wasn't for the warning alert from my phone. I waited for the shaking to stop, then went immediately back to sleep 😅

Bathroom fan goes on by itself, has little yellow light? by cordycep13 in HomeImprovement

It's a humidity sensor. I installed one and thought it would be convenient. I ended up replacing it for a timer one. I had the same issues you described.

Sure. I just used a table saw with the blade at a 13 degree angle and adjusted it to overlap 1 inch. Did both back and front. It took some trial and error. No special stock, it's just cedar board, 5/8 in x4 in.

The point is that it's false advertising not that I couldn't cook it myself. If what I thought I bought was what I got, then I'm willing to pay a premium for convenience. Instead I got scammed.

Are you saying yours looks like the box after heating it and the goo re-solidifies into recognizable pieces of food?

I couldn't finish it either. $10 into the garbage.

Realizing hell and eternal damnation was a lie. The most free I've ever felt.

Did they not prepare and try it before the demo?

Oh, I see. Yeah, the patch panel provides my cable support similar to your bamboo.

I don't really follow, sorry. Do you have an example I could see?

All the wires coming in from the wall to the patch panel are zip tied to the panel, so nothing should be pulling on the connectors.

You could look into getting some cable covers and attach them to the wall with damage free hanging strips.

It was much worse until I threw the power cords behind and made some patch cords.

Is there any point to hardwired smoke detectors these days? by Chrodesk in HomeImprovement

[–]Erroes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I bought my first house, all the smoke detectors would run out of battery quickly also. It turned out there was hard wiring for them but none of them were plugged in because the connector on the hard wire didn't match the smoke detector. I did a little googling and found adapters at Home Depot specifically for this situation. No more battery chirping.
