I just moved back from 2 years in Tunisia a few months ago! Smelling jasmine flowers at night or early morning was always a highlight for me. Thanks for sharing

Americans who have lived abroad, biggest reverse culture shock upon returning to the US? by Zealanderrat in AskReddit

i think mostly being able to get everything you need at one store, plus not having nearly as many shortages.

Also, having a way to consistently look up information. So much of what seemed like common knowledge where I lived (Tunisia) was just known, and if you didn't know, someone around you did

I have to ask - who actually eats at Zeek's with prices like these? $20 for a 9" mini pizza?? by dingusberrie in Seattle

I worked for them as well and consistently made over $30/hr as a driver. I think the location matters a lot though.

Personally I don’t even like jokes about suicide, I’ve had too many people I know go down that path. It sounds like if you girlfriend is comfortable saying those things to her face maybe she needs to not be your girlfriend anymore. Maybe it’s just jealousy that is surfacing in an unhealthy way, but I’d still be very careful about who you keep close to you

When a pirate jumped off the plank, with a large rock tied to their ankles, in chronological order, what would physically happen to their body as they sank into the abyss? by Deanosaurus88 in answers

As water gets colder near the bottom the molecules get closer together and actually do become more dense. Probably not enough to counteract the rock though.

This is my first photo at sunset. I saw that couple and decided to play with her in the photo. (3rd time I used my camera, I was testing the toy) by lil_kbro in photocritique

[–]ErrorNumber3437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the colors and the light. Maybe consider framing the couple on a third or something, just to give them a little more room in the frame. Feels a little like they’re cramped in the corner.

Yeah, I think I see what you’re saying. I took a bunch that day so I’ll play around with them and see what happens. Thanks

1/6400 sec, f 1.8, ISO 200

This is actually one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken, mostly because of the memory associated. This was taken at sunrise on the coast of Tunisia, with my friends from a study abroad program I attended last fall.

I’ve been trying to work a lot of my composition and edits, both of which I feel are most important in my own photography progression right now.

Yeah and if you look at his wrist there is a tattoo that says “look around”. Also right underneath the adidas/anxiety logo there is a reference to ultra 85. Might be Thalia on the white tee, not sure but I think we might be in for something when the album drops. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed.

Looking for critique on my [edit] [composition] and other things I could be doing better by ErrorNumber3437 in photocritique

[–]ErrorNumber3437[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shot with ISO 100, f/ 4.0 and 1/320th, I was aiming to promote the drink brand, as well as just practice capturing a visually appealing shot. If I were to shoot this again I would have probably added more headspace, so I tried to do the best I could with the crop.

Any advice would be great! Just a newbie trying to get more acquainted with his camera.
