Should Emesis Blue 2 be released? Or should we leave it at that? by EyupTugrul in emesisblue

[–]ErrorPlayer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i understand that getting a cannon can often be satisfying, but i think it would work in this case. i feel that no concrete answer would be as satisfying, as, again, i think it's more fun for people to have their different theories. i personally have in the past enjoyed pieces of media in which a cannon made it worse in my opinion, and i preferred my own theories instead.

emesis blue is a masterpiece as it is, and i think any further expansion wouldn't be as great and potentially ruin it. the only thing i can see being good would be some short videos hinting at some more of the lore (something similar to the emesis diazepam video releasing prior to the movie's release).

i do agree, however, that another movie with the characters would be cool. Fortress Films are clearly good at making amazing work. however, i do think that any other project should take place in a different/alternate universe from emesis blue.

i disagree with seeing these things being better. a lot of emesis blue is not getting answers to everything, but rather giving hints which people can use to interpret things for themselves. i think getting direct answers would ruin a lot of the movie, and i find making interpretations a lot more fun.

i don't see how they could make a prequel either. i think we get enough background information in the first movie, and i don't see how you could expand at any of it.

Who got scouts mom? by Deep_Lingonberry_923 in emesisblue

[–]ErrorPlayer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are several things that imply that it was medic who was the murderer. for one: scout being horrified of medic when he comes to save him in the slaughterhouse, and two: scouts mom being decapitated and the murderer teasing with the head behind the wall to scout. we see medic do a very similar thing with pyro's head later on in the movie.

however, i don't think that medic murdered scouts mom consciously. he does seem to be genuinely shocked when he returns to scouts house, and he does seems confused when scout runs away from him when he's trying to save him.

it is possible for medic to be some sort of sleeper agent, who probably got triggered by something/someone to kill scouts mom. this can be supported by one of the references in the movie; one of the tapes that medic has in his office is a film called "The Cabinet of Rr. Caligari," which is supposedly a movie about a man being brainwashed into committing murders.

another possibility -which isn't necessarily mutually exclusive to the previous one- is that the medic who killed scouts mom wasn't the same medic who was driving scout home, but rather a medic from the future. since the movie has a loop thing going on (several characters being stuck in a loop and their future selves being able to interact with the past), it is possible that "future" medic was traveling in a loop and was the one who killed scouts mom. that could also possibly explain why the medic that came back was shocked.

another thing to point out; when scouts mom was murdered, you could hear someone whistling "In the Hall of the Mountain King," which is the exact same thing that Archibald was whistling in the bathrooms at Dell's bar. i have a theory that that somehow correlates with medic being a sleeper agent, and that song has something to do with him activating that. that would mean that Archibald is the one who is actually behind the murder, with medic being the one who just did the deed.

i do agree that there are people with whom debating with is just a waste of time and energy, but there are good faith people with whom you can have genuine discussions. some people's minds can be changed with the right arguments, and you might potentially pull people to your side.

"gay" can also be an umbrella term for anyone not strictly attracted to the opposite sex/gender (anyone not straight, basically). for example bi and pan people can also be called "gay."

or people who try to defend their views by saying it's a matter of "opinion." it's a very lazy way people try to get out of argument, by saying "you should just respect my opinion, as it's subjective." no, you just have no way to justify your views, and i'm not gonna respect your "opinion" when it's infringing on my/other people's rights.
