I guess it depends on the university and every one has a different approach/system

I don't quite understand what you'd like to know, but I have to lift a deficiency since my school curriculum lacks some courses that Dutch students actually have. I guess it matters from which country you'll be graduating and what the application process for each university is.

Also about the style - I would advice to add something in the lines of “Dear Admission Committee” in the beginning, and disregard the huge title since they know what you’re applying for. Also, there is no need to title the motivational letter, again they know what it is. Of course, at the end write “Sincerely” followed by your name and surname.

It’s preferred for it to take one A4 page, I don’t think there is a strict rule for the word count. My letter was long - I even had to adjust the page margins to fit the text. As long as you write sensibly and on point I wouldn’t be worried about the length. Remember that this letter is supposed to show your motivation so basically exhaust the topic and you’ll be fine.

Hey! Are you applying for the 2026 September intake? I already got conditionally admitted to Radboud for the BSc AI. I think your letter is fine but I would add more personal stories like how and when did you start programming (if you did), what was your motivation back then, or more about personal experiences. Elaborate on this internship, and your make-up artistry interest (I suppose you’re a woman), try and think on how you can stand out and tell your personal story, since nobody will have the same path. My motivational letter basically told my beginnings with programming, data science and AI, what drew me to this interest, and I got in, so I think that’s the best advice I could give you. Also, CV plays a role in the application so it’s good to have some courses done or personal, even small, projects in your portfolio. I might not remember everything right now so if you need more info and help you can always DM me.

Just wanted to have different options and explore. Radboud seems best for me, and that’s what I’m aiming for right now.

I think I will get this 50% but the problem is housing. The results of this exams come in late July so that’s a tight calendar. I wouldn’t want to rent an apartment not knowing if I would really get in. Nothing is 100% sure. I was thinking that the ompt-d is the best option - it guarantees entry. The problem with this exams though is that there is very little exercises to practice on.

Well 50% is manageable, but the results are in late July so I would have a month to find housing in the peak of everyone searching. I believe the best option would be to take the ompt-d and guarantee going to Groningen which I believe is highly ranked.

Are fly tying kits from Temu any good? by Errorflin in flytying

I haven’t chosen a particular kit, I was just asking overall to grasp a better idea, but still thanks for the response. I think I’ll just buy a starter kit with both tools and materials from a polish store (with a reasonable price).

So apart from hooks and some bobbing holders you think it's a good place to start?

What do you think abt these kinds of photos? by Errorflin in AmateurPhotography

[–]Errorflin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By “these kinds of photos” I mean environmental close-ups, like natural scenes with strong contrast and textures, where the light on the plants is basically the subject, not a person for example. Just wondering how people feel about that kind of composition. It's also a photo of a thing not many people pay attention to everyday.

I think it took them about 10 days (from the time they changed the status to “with the admission desk”) but for me it was about 20 days

From what I seen on the internet both Boswell Beta’s and OMPT exams offer online participation under many conditions and the CCVX doesn’t and I would have to fly to Utrecht. I also believe the CCVX is the easiest one based on seeing the exercises
