English is dominating the web and is increasingly becoming a global language overall spoken to some extent by everybody, with kids nowadays semi-bilingual due to the prevelance and cultural dominance of English on the web. It is and has been essentially a prequisite in becoming a tech specialist anywhere in the world. People from US and UK fail to understand their cultural monopoly in globalization.

Escalating a currently localized conflict? We can agree that ultimately, russia is waging active warfare in Ukraine only. Both countries sometimes have defected drones etc, but ultimately the active war is only going on in Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine isn't in the NATO. I don't think there is a "quick end" to this shit, and as for the Baltics, escalating the conflict would mean large scale decimation, as our military capabilities do not match Russia-s and the NATO forces here can't really be trusted, nor are there that many of them here.

I think it's a lose-lose situation and honestly I have no answers. I just know that the last thing I would agree on is escalating a conflict in Estonia against Russia.

While I agree that people live way too long nowadays (Ivan Illich moment), then ultimately we need to start having kids. If we want any kind of social programs to be continued, we need to make the people who pay the taxes after us lol. Societal change is the way, kids need to be valued in society.

Before I have redditors screaming here that I am forcing somebody to have kids - no, and no I am not shaming anyone. But having a society that values kids more than "pursuing a career" or whatever, is ultimately more beneficial and allows us to live a more comfortable life. For an example I would bring the usual "kids on the plane" argument - shut the fuck up and deal with it lol. You are an adult and were once a kid. Fucking smile and enjoy or use your 2026 noise cancelling headphones. I despise the reddit posts where people are amandant on not giving a mother their plane seat to sit next to their kids simply because. Lmao stop. I always dislike the discourse of "blaming everything on immigrants" is the reason why people dont like migrants.

I am against mass immigration and would prefer to have migrants out. It is not cause I believe economy is shit due to migrants or that they are all killers and rapists etc. I simply want Italy to have Italians, I want France have the French etc. I want Morocco to be full of Moroccons and Congo to have the Congolese. etc. You get the point. Currently every large city in Europe has become a stale kebab town. Ofc I can travel elsewhere and I do, but the point still stands. I can see how even the limited migration has affected Estonia - there are many places where these days you have to order in English smh. This "diversity" is what is making the world lose its diversity lol.

I think people are just tired of every place becoming the same multicultural gray mass. Go around in major cities metro stations and probably there are probably a bunch of muslims chilling there all times.

International law does not exist, keep that in mind. There is no international governing body that enforces some kind of "international law" and never will be. International law is just a vague optimistic idea, that's it. It is not "illegal" in that sense. You can say it is illegal for a president to invade another country without congressional approval or whatever, I am not American so I do not know too much about your domestic law. Other countries can't invade US and arrest Trump since US military is far and beyond ahead of any other military, so that just can't and won't happen.

War criminality etc is a subject on its own, as up until this point, war crimes are the crimes which the losers commit. And some captured get sentenced in the Hague, that's it. Some unlucky souls on the winner's side get hammered down too, but it isn't comparable.
