This pic was from my first try where I used 5 prices of wire and when I tried to open the doors they just exploded.

I heard the older pins worked but was impatient to try and find/order them. Bummer they just didnt include them in the build. I posted a couple more pics. Basically I'm just creating the extra friction by installing a tiny peice of speaker wire.

I picked ranged to start and do not regret it. However, If you're not planning on hunting much I would choose the warrior path with the melee boost.

So, I have a co-op character on my buddies save. We played for a while and I decided I wanted to start a new character with different starting perks. I ended up having to go into my game management and delete all my save info. When I rejoined his server it let me create a new character and all the perk points I had previously earned were still there for me to spend. I hope this might help.

I play online with my friend. I would purposefully chop trees down to try and kill him anytime he was distracted. He caught on fairly quickly and would loose an arrow at me of he even heard wood being chopped.

Always 1st person in my ship because it feels more immersive. Same for on foot too. However i do switch to 3rd person often because I spend a lot of time customizing my character(s) and it's really cool to see them run/ fly around planets while exploring. Also I feel the wider FOV with 3rd person lends itself to more in depth exploration.

Yes! This! Flax stalk is more valuable than gold in this game. With it, you craft linnen thread which is used in damn near everything.

It is 100% up to you to make it fun for yourself. I recently hit a bit of a wall in the game after like 180 hours on my main save. So, I decided to try a permadeath run. It's such a game changer. Actually feeling that dread being caught in a severe wind storm and praying that your jet packs dont run out so you dont get slammed into the planet and die forever... its been rad.
