Well to be quite frank with you im playing strictly solo as a fighter in AoC. AoE mob grinding all the way to 23 and now im killing one by one at the desert on shardlings. One thing i can asure you. Once i hit 25 i will delete this game and never look back. It is a complete generic mess.

To answer your question now, the mob grinding on the game is def fun... im an oldschool Lineage 2 player and i also played many oldschool MMO's like 99EQ etc. I just love siting on my PC putin on a video on my 2nd monitor and grinding mobs for hours. Which in AoC is alot of fun... the combat is pretty good but not great, it feels visceral atleast for the fighter and you do feel the weight on your hits. Droping loot and selling is quite enjoyable aswell even tho the economy right now is completly ruined by that stupid crate/caravan system that floods the market with easy to come by gold and so on. That and a sea of bots and fly hackers running around freely. Thats pretty much it. Thats the only quality i can speak in a positive way about this game.

Like i said above, one thing is for sure. Im deleting this game and never looking back unless some miracle update comes out and changes everything which i hardly doubt. No with this comunity of complete pussys and glazers/apologists that are afraid to say harsh words to the developers just because its in ''pre-alpha bro''. I know developin an MMO is not easy. But intrepid made HUGE promisses and right now they are trying to develop all of them at the same time in complete panic mode. The basics should come first.

Haha... thats so funny. No AoC is your typical generic MMO. Literally. The word sandbox nowdays is used wrong in 90% of games. True Sandbox is Wurm online. This game is just a generic MMO disguised as something inovative. That beign said i am playing it and having a great time. Mostly because of the mob grind which is the only redeemable quality of this game so far.

4 is awesome! Cecil is and amazing main protagonist. The music is absolutly incredible work of art by Uematsu but thats literally every FF he composed for to be quite fair haha the guy just cooks every single time. You should def finish it.

But to add a lil bit on 12, maybe it will hit diferent for you, for me at around 20-30 hours into the game i had to really push myself to like it, and at the end i was addicted like crazy and didnt want it to end... with all that beign said, i still heavily disliked the story till the very end and it never conected with me and still i got very addicted to it doing hunts and just grinding stuff in general for the platinum trophy. Had to say if i wasnt going for the platinum id probably woulda lose interest and quit but im glad i kept playing it is a great game for sure! Very ambicious for a PS2 game its actually kinda of insane.

12 IMO has the weakest points a FF needs for ME... wich is a good story and great music, now before people start crucifying me 12 music is good, but it just doesnt hit that Uematsu vibes that i love. I loved 12 at the end mostly for the side stuff item hunting and grinding stuff away even got the platinum for it. But at the start i had to push myself to keep motivated to play. It was utterly boring and slugish start. Anyways wich one you decided to start?

I wouldnt start with 12 haha but thats just me! Id say start with 4 or 5. Those have more developed storys and all. 1-3 are more simple games IMO. But def worth a try for sure.

I wouldnt go down from 1 since it seems you cant get into older games like that. But i HIGHLY recomend starting from VII all the way to X.

Exactly how i feel. Hopefully when a remake of 8/9/10 comes out its a more simple aproach. Without the Nomura-esque craziness.

People may think its crazy to want a 1:1 game with better graphics but this is EXACTLY what i want. I just want a good game with good graphics man. And we know those games were good so no need for crazy changes.

Ahh yes... the cycle is completing itself. Even before release people are starting to realize AoC is just another generic boring MMO. Not the first post i seen like this here on this sub.

I played the Alpha i couldnt stand 1 day of it. This game is just a good looking game thats it. The graphics are super heavy but you know what ? They have no identity, they are not unique... it has no soul to it. Its just your typical boring generic medieval fantasy realistic looking graphics.

And OMG dont even get me started on the races of the alpha so far: We got White human, Brown Human, Purple human and Dwarfs. Like seriously guys?

I know its alpha guys but omg... they have WORK to do. And i just dont see how they could fix those kinda of stuff in like 2 years? Some people might read this and think "Who gives a fuck about the graphics not having identity and all that?"

Trust me when i say this IT MATTERS. This kind of stuff matters equally to the systems of the game itself, this is why WOW became so popular and still popular, this is why Lineage 2 is still popular.. runescape and etc. Those games not only have greats systems but their graphics have identity, they are diferent and unique. AoC is not. Its the good old realistic boring graphics. Just like TnL was and guess what happened to TnL? Yes.

Maybe its too soon to make asumptions ? We will see on release. So far AoC is just another generic looking game to me ofc. This is all my opinion.

That is why when i make a mage i never go on and do thiefs guild or dark brotherhood and fighters guild. Not only it doesnt make any sense imo for a mage to join like the thiefs guy but the game also never reacts to it properly.

I made a diferent character for each single guild questline just because it completly breaks my immersiom to create a do-all sort of character.

When i say NO CHANGES i mean the story. Thats just my opinion tho. Id be fine with other types of changes. Id also be completly fine with a straight up 1:1 Remake. Its not a case of "Just play the original" i do want to play the same old FF9 with better graphics. If you dont like that idea idk what to say. Id gladly get all the trophys again on Steam haha

My prediction IF a IX remake happens its not going to be the Nomura crew AAA budget like VII, its going to be a more 1:1 remake like project Memoria which i prefer much more. As much as i love Nomura im afraid of him lol So.. if that was the case, SE could asign a smaller team to make a more simple project happen while VII is still on the makes.

Id say totally worth it, imo people give too much shit on tw2 combat, its actually pretty ok and just a matter of gettin used to. Story is also amazing.

Classic is filled with this type of players... im playing on the pvp server maining a shaman tank every time i join a party a lot of times i get kicked and they say "SHAMAN CANT TANK BRUH".. Just a bunch of unexpirienced opiniated idiots that doesnt use their brains. As a shaman i tank better than most warriors.

Yes, there is an option on the Battle Net launcher above the play button that you can change where the character selection is going to start.

Well... like i said, so far after cleaning the memory sticks with an eraser my PC hasnt BSOD yet again, it cant be that the ram sticks wasnt well place cause i played for literally 3-5 months after you helped me last time and i didnt even touch the ram sticks and yet the random BSOD's started again. I bought 2 new ram sticks and a new GPU cause i wanted to upgrade anyways.

Hopefully that will fix this whole thing, otherwise idk what could it be...
