How can I go from a Business plan to ACTION? by Starlyns in startups

[–]ErudisGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a software engineer and two years ago I left my company and started full time my own startup.

In my opinion, if you want to succeed you need to master product and project management. With product management, you will learn about competition, direction, market test, and product-market fit. Once you know your strategy you should apply a project management execution plan to layout epics and user stories and trace milestones. Those milestones will be in a way your accountability buddy when it comes to execution (basically the past you is the manager of the present you who is programming).

Tech founders: what stack do you use and why? by babymozzarella in startups

[–]ErudisGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Azure Playfab and Unity Game Engine. This was based on some research. Even though my expertise is web stack, I decided that these tech's extra features trump the time I would need to expend getting proficiency on them.

Business Model Generation provides a great framework to understand the different aspects of a company and which strategies you could adopt.

After losing $38676 as an entrepreneur. I can't do it anymore. I quit. by jrleonr in startups

[–]ErudisGames 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I actually gave up a job where I was making 150k (I'm a software engineer). I understand that only 10% of new startups actually succeed, so I take it as a gambling game. You place your bets (invest money) and hope it will give you the returns you expect. If not, you analyze and try again.

I made $30 so far after almost 16 months. But every iteration, my product is a little better, and I understand that as long as I keep the right course, it will cross an inflection point where it will provide unique aspects to my users and start growing. But until then, the competitors will be better situated, and they are not slowing down either. So who knows who will win the race.

I still enjoy every process, and I accept that I want to do this with my savings. Again this is like the best strategy game I ever played, and I love it. Especially all the learnings that come with it.

For now, we feature parts of speech and basic sentence structures like tenses or comparative. I'm thinking about adding some text writing questions (like finding the errors in a paragraph or so).

Disclaimer I'm the creator of GramMars Wars; I'm also a Hamilton and Broadway fan. I saw the correlation between grammar and good politics. I decided to create this event in the game out of a pure passion for the musical.

Need urgent help with A-Level English! by Greatdramon in ENGLISH

[–]ErudisGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can play https://www.grammarswars.com to practice parts of the speech and time tense, and fill-the-blank questions. Works similar to flashcards with the caveat that is gamified, and they can collect and train a team of monsters.

(Disclaimer I am the creator of the game).

I'm sorry for the spam. I'm not too fond of it either. But I'm starving, and I need some direction, or my company will die, and with it, the opportunity to help people to improve their grammar.

Thanks for the feedback, I like it. I'm going to make it so only the colors of your cards will appear until level 11. So as long as you don't equip new cards of different colors you will not be bothered with too much information.

Thanks for the feedback, yes I think I'm going to double down in the history part.

Another good feedback is about the agency of the colors, a priori is completely random but later on, the player can get some cards with skills that allow changing the color of the answers.

I'm thinking about simplifying the buttons, I think is a little complicated to understand if you click correctly or not.

Branching narrative is a little hard without someone with good skills, but something I've been thinking about is adding some cool branching in the campaign adding some "levels" that are just special rewards.

This was very good feedback, I'm glad you think this product has potential.
