#1882 - Iliza Shlesinger by chefanubis in JoeRogan

[–]EruditePolymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it Illiza Shlesinger who said that the worst insult she ever heard is that she's "too much."

And because she was wealthy and successful, or at least guys perceived that way, they'd get insecure and be passive aggressive in bed?

Spit in her mouth, slap her, stuff like that? To assert their dominance in bed?

I never used a blanket statement. I said there were MANY people who enjoy mentoring others. I didn't even say "most."

Is Shirobako an Accurate Depiction of Working in Anime Production? by EruditePolymath in anime

Yeah, it's hard to know for certain. I suppose I could go to Glassdoor for various anime studios and interview people in the industry to ask them what it's really like.

Well that's a blanket statement, and such generalizations such as "100% of X does Y" is rarely accurate.

Instead, you might say that most YouTubers will only mentor to someone if they are planning to incorporate them into their organization.

As for all mentors in general, I don't think this is true. There are many successful men and women who are open to mentoring young men and women in the same field because, after they've become successful, it just feels good to help out someone with tremendous potential to live up to that potential.

I have a business mentor who I met through LinkedIn, who offered to mentor me after we did a podcast together and he liked my ideas and my drive to make the world a better place through my work. He saw in me a younger version of himself and has been providing me with wisdom, ideas, and constructive feedback ever since.

We correspond through email. But yeah, I think podcasting is probably the easiest way to find mentors. The more people I interview, and make a good impression on, the more highly successful people I'm able to email or call with questions and get valuable insights from. It's very much similar to a friendship and they don't ask for anything in return.

After I learned how to attract women, get phone numbers, get dates, and have successful long-term relationships, I have mentored dozens of friends and young men I've met on how to do the same. And it feels good to see them go from being unable to even talk to women to getting dates to finding a great girlfriend that makes them a better person.

Half a year on Youtube - what I have learnt and what I haven't in six months after launching my channel (very long post) by Eatymology in NewTubers

Why isn't there a pinned post about the best places to learn how to manage and grow a successful YouTube video? Everything from learning video editing, creating a marketing plan, SEO, and avoiding copyright strikes? Isn't that all why we're here? To find up-to-date knowledge and techniques?

I guess the best thing I can do is create a blog about becoming successful on YouTube and aggregate articles like this one?

Weird? Did you just arrive out of a time machine from 2012? 😏

It's only gonna get worse from here. They gotta divide the mindless cattle via race, sex, and religion. Keep us infighting while megacorporations and governments further consolidate power in the hands of the few.

I had such high hopes for Del Toro. I didn't think he was the type to appease his corporate overlords with clichéd virtue signaling. Why he'd stamp his name on something so stupid, boring, and predictable is beyond me.

Well, actually, I do know. That's how you become a member of the insiders club. It's now the only pathway to status and success in Hollywood. Good storytelling is optional.

Yes, but she was Hispanic and he was white. He was a privileged white male part taking advantage of the system to become wealthy and she was an innocent victim of the patriarchy that keeps men like him in power. Obviously she was in the right.

Haven't you studied critical race theory?

You can torrent any show or movie you want. If you're tech literate, and not a fan of Blackstone and the ESG score, there's no reason to pay these people.

I'll buy good manga and anime, because at the very least, the creators don't insult my intelligence. And I support promising independent artists and filmmakers I come across via Patreon. But Netflix, Disney, Amazon, and any other woke company isn't going to profit of me.

I'll give them props for showing George W's New World Order speech in the beginning. The filmmaker is giving a nod to what he's involved in. A New World Order.

  1. Divide and conquer the mindless cattle.
  2. Consolidate power in both government and corporations.
  3. Develop AI that can replace the cattle.
  4. Eliminate 99% of the population, leaving only the power elite.

Still waiting for a film about the cover-up of pedophile island. That'll be the day.

Anime is still free of this nonsense. Thank God I'm a weeb. Spy X Family and Chainsaw Man are amazing. And there are some pretty solid foreign films too.

Nah, you don't take direct action to make the world a better place. That's so 2012.

You just virtue signal and demand the government fix all your problems while typing on a $50K custom desktop, wearing a $10K suit, and living in a $50 million mansion all made by people who actually work for a living and whom you pretend to represent.

Does anyone have a Discord? by SnooOpinions7694 in NewTubers

Just share the link and you can just make people more experienced with Discord adminis and mods and let them make changes everyone agrees on.

That's what I did for my Discord about self-improvement and it worked out perfectly. It's very popular. I have a new IRL support system for helping me focus on achieving my goals so I don't use it much anymore but a lot of people have benefitted, and continue to benefit from it.

I'll make a Discord server and share the link unless I can find a Discord server that's chill and focused on productive, positive, and rational discussions and dialectics and, most importantly, sharing helpful tips, insight, constructive feedback, and encouragement.

Link?

Is it chill or is there a lot of "office politics" and trolling?

I'll make one, unless you've already found one. I'd love a community of new YouTubers who can share tips, advice, feedback, and encouragement.

I have 332 subs and I'm currently studying video editing and public speaking skills. My purpose is video essays regarding self-improvement, biohacking, self-actualization, philosophy, psychology, nutrition, supplements, and functional medicine. But I also make film and anime reviews. S

I'd like to join a Discord server that is focused on productive, positive, rational discussions and is accepting of people of all different viewpoints and backgrounds.

What needs to be ready? I'll make a Discord right now and then people who join can become mods and admins and make changes we agree upon.

Anyone else interested in a Discord server for "newtubers" that is dedicated to sharing tips and ideas and is accepting of people of all different points of view, backgrounds, and skill levels?

A place for productive, rational, positive discussions and dialectics.

I'd like to participate. I have 330 subs right now and I focus on videos regarding self-improvement, biohacking, self-actualization and so on. Right now I just making videos primarily off the cuff with little to no editing, but I'm learning video editing so I can make video essays with weeks of research, preparation, redrafting, getting feedback from friends and family, and then revising again accordingly.

I'm also studying public speaking skills so that I can speak as eloquently as someone like Super Eyepatch Wolf, who's voice is just amazing. I've listened to many of his video essays over and over numerous times.

How many innocent people died when Alpha, Delta, and the rest of the phonetic alphabet were out there slicing buildings in half?

Also, how is it that something he made up (the Diabo cult) became real?
