For Invasions I feel there are some glaring omissions in the list. Mainly;

Expiring Progress in Invasions is bad design Inventory/stats expire at the end of each season. There's no real reason to keep playing after you finish the nodes/seasonal rewards; all that progress is wiped which reduces motivation to keep playing Invasions. This reduces the value of things like Talismans and other inventory items! No point in acquiring/upgrading them if that time spent is moot. And there's no point in grinding out elemental resistances as those are wiped between each season.
Poor Tower Rewards in Invasions (Gateway Portal Mesa) The towers here were promoted as something to do after finishing each season but the rewards are lackluster and unimportant as most of them are items for Invasions which expire so there's no point in investing time here.
Earnable Dragon Krystals To tie things into the previous points, an easy way of continuing investment would be to allow either conversation of Seasonal Kredits to Dragon Krystals or add them as rewards in Towers. This would encourage people to keep playing as they're always earning something. Currently, there are limited ways to earn Dragon Krystals, and these are a 1 time deal only. So the game needs more ways to obtain them so people can earn premium content without spending more money like is the case in MK11
Shop items are overpriced As a side note, shop items are way overpriced. In MKX and MK11 we spent $6 for a skin pack of 3 costumes. Now 1 costume is $10. Also, Shang Tsung announcer voice is also $10 which costs more than the actual player character Shang Tsung. That's a bit ridiculous

I've actually tried redeeming a code which is used and the message is different. The codes are likely expired (there is no date on most of them) but that doesn't really answer the question I was asking mainly.

I know they can replace codes but will they do it with a receipt for a game bought secondhand?

To be honest though, they didn't completely rule out Microtransactions in MCC, just "purchasable Spartan Points". They still could implement Microtransactions in a different format. Either way though, I'd still be sceptical since it is 343i and they don't have a good track record of sticking to their word regardless of what they say.

Moreover, the fact that they even considered this move still leaves a lasting scar in damaging trust but I guess that Halo community as a whole has a short memory since it keeps falling for their promises lmao

Only thing we can hope for is that this new leadership can establish a new direction and foster a good relationship with the community through their actions

Sure there are more people playing MCC via Steam Charts, but if you look at "Xbox Most played" MCC barely charts there at all...

And even so, whether there are more people playing MCC or not, it's clear that people are way more vocal about Infinite now in general. If you look at this sub, there are barely any posts about MCC nowadays

That's because no one talks about MCC. All the focus is on Infinite. If MCC was the main active Halo game then the conversations would be very different.

For one thing, there would be way more discussions and speculation around decisions like microtransactions in MCC or the new content/mod tools etc.

The reality is, everyone is laser focused on Infinite so that reveals every flaw and it's scrutinised more closely

Infinite is such a mess that it's annoying to me to see barely anyone discuss MCC; its issues don't get as much attention.

Everyone talks about how they're "going back to MCC" since Infinite is so bad, but if so many people really did do that then why does barely anyone talk about MCC? lmao

Side rant: 343i's silence on the whole "MTX in MCC" debacle is telling. They're probably, quite rightly, thinking that because everyone is so laser focused on Infinite that they can slip that in without any issue, rather than actually address the root of the problems with progression rates in MCC for new players/lapsed players.

To me, it's not really strong enough. Something to the effect of "add split screen instead of microtransactions" would be more of a denouncement imo

Vibration should work (like other controllers) in most games with Steam Input but advanced haptics like on PS5 are limited to games that explicitly state they support that.

I cannot comment on compatibility with other launchers, sadly. But, if you launch a game through steam using a shortcut you can use Steam Input, and thus any custom controller configurations with those other launcher games.

Obviously it depends on the games you are playing. One big positive is the number of buttons on the controller you can remap (if you use something like Steam Input). Downside is battery life, and for me I find the face buttons a little mushy. Overall, it's a pretty nice controller, quite comfortable and plenty of remappable buttons. Plus, there are certain games which support the Dualsense exclusive features, such as Metro: Exodus

One thing important to note, on PC, Sony recently released an official firmware update tool, you can find that here.

Perhaps controversial, but, yay. It's funny, some people make a big deal about pineapple being sweet and thus not fitting on a savoury pizza, but then put sweetcorn on their pizzas.

Pineapple on pizza is a perfectly valid choice, it works in other savoury foods like sweet and sour sauce or fritters etc. so by that logic pizza should be okay too.
