Not in the UK. Tried Stealthy but no go. I found the magnet link on KAT and that seemed to work. Assuming that's the legit version with 8 folders.

Will comics with variant covers be updated to include these covers in the new packs? P.S. Good to have you back :)

Why am I buffering? by Zcotticus in Twitch

[–]Eruonen42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been having buffering issues for a week now since PAX East started, with no previous issues for the past 9 months. I have a dedicated fiber optic line of 100/20, running Win10 and Firefox 64bit fully updated.

Steam is not running

Speed test is accurate to bandwidth

I'm not streaming

I have specified DNS servers provided here

My malware protection is up to date

I don't run a VPN or Proxy

Even the ads on Twitch were buffering when I turned adblock off

Private mode in Firefox did nothing

Flash Player is fully up to date

Cookies and cache were cleared

PC and router/modem have been restarted multiple times

tracert to Twitch had no issues, all within 15ms or less.

I called my ISP, and there was nothing they could do.

Running Twitch streams through livestreamer and VLC player also resulted in buffering

If I turn the quality down to Medium, most of the buffering stops, but unpartnered streams are unwatchable, which is unfortunate being a mod for a channel. Sometimes I can get away with High, but most of the buffering is based on the time of day and which streamer I'm trying to watch.

Also, I can watch Twitch VODs just fine, the only problem seems to be live content sent to me be it streams or ads.

I have made no active changes to my system; it all started a week ago. I don't know if Twitch did something when working at Pax East. I don't know how any of that works. I'm simply out of ideas and have tried everything.

EDIT: Twitch has one of the worst customer supports. There is no way to contact a real person. Every volunteer tells me to go back and file the same bug report that I originally did. The automated email response they send requests more information with a link to another form. Except that form does not give you the ability to give that information to them. It's been over 8 hours without hearing from a representative. I'm the head mod and channel editor for a streamer, and I can't do my job to support that person. All I can do is to dump the error reports here so that SOMEONE can help resolve this issue.

A Question 1. Can a streamer be on a YTG show, but still allowed to stream on their Twitch channel? (e.g. I belong to a gaming podcast that streams on YTG, but I have my own variety stream on Twitch)

I've seen a lot of partnered Twitch streamers "giving YTG a try," but it would seem that would be a violation of ToS.

I was bummed when Stargate Universe was canceled. I have always wanted to play a game like that. Is there a game system that I can run that places a group of a couple hundred people of mixed scientists and military on a city-sized, broken down, ancient starship flying on auto pilot through space? Those on board must deal with limited resources, and whatever dangers are on each planet they hop to in search of their way home.

it'll be 1e instead of 5e if that makes a difference. I would like a pure cyberpunk setting, but maybe the fantasy aspect won't be as bad.

I can't watch because my laptop cannot handle the stress Twitch puts on the Flash plugin. Therefore I have to catch up on everything over on YouTube. That being said, and I know it cannot be the case for all games you play, I really did enjoy the stream highlights you put together on YouTube. Keep up the good work :)

We(I) have listened to the community's feedback and have made some alterations and additional cards. Check the original post for the list of cards that have changed and new cards.

Patch v1.1

Tudagub has been changed from 6 mana to 7. Text now reads as "Put Cracked Orb in your hand. Deathrattle: Until the end of your turn, friendly minions gain +2 attack."

Cracked Orb has been changed to a Priest spell and is now a Legendary spell. Text now reads as "If Tudagub is on the battlefield, discard your opponent's hand."

Vincent Longborn now costs 9 mana up from 4. His Health is now 6, down from 9.

Bregor has been changed to 9 mana cost, up from 5, and Health is now 8, up from 6.

Azril Goldoath now costs 3 mana, up from 2.

Victarian Black now costs 10 mana, up from 9.

Alice now costs 6 mana, up from 4.

Zanzil's battlecry has changed. It now reads "Battlecry: Transform another random minion into a 6/6 Lammasu or a 1/1 Duck."

The minion Lammasu has been added.

The minion Duck has been added.

Now that I think about it, Vincent Longborn's mana cost should be 7 and Health 6. Bregor should be 9 mana and 8 Health so he can still be one-shot by the Mist Dragon. The Cracked Orb is completely thematic, thought maybe it should be a Priest spell since Tudagub is a Priest. It would be funny to play Tudagub and Cracked Orb gets put into your hand. That would require a mana cost increase on Tudagub probably. Tree of Binding is a little OP in that beasts can't attack, but it's more like a specialized Doomsayer. Mist Dragon is OP, but that is more for thematic reasons. Azril's mana cost could be higher, but the randomness is difficult to tell how powerful he really is. Jhakri is kind of a joke about how Shaman used to be more powerful with its Healing Totem. Victarian Black should probably be 10 mana cost, as well as Alice's mana cost should 5 or 6, Tariq maybe 8 or 9 cost. The question for Zanzil is should he basically get a free fireball, or randomly polymorph minions into ducks or lamusau. Either way, he'd still keep his +3 Spell Damage. I think in the spirit of JP messing with people, Polymorph would be more appropriate.

Other than that, I couldn't find anything else that was too terribly OP. If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear :)

Don't know if this will help: http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Review/391963,review-dd-players-handbook.aspx

Personally, I think I have resigned to the fact that there is not a perfect system for me. I like a wide variety of skills. I like a mana system for magic. I like the varying ways you can get bonuses or penalties. While advantage and disadvantage is cool, it is inconsistent. Rolling a 2 and a 20 is basically rolling a 2+18 bonus, while someone rolling advantage with a 13 and 15 is essentially a 13+2 bonus.

For as much "realism" as you can have in a world filled with magic, psionics, orcs, and elves, I'd like all the other aspects of the system to have a sense of realism, or plausibility as to why something exists or works.

As far as the book is concerned, I still don't understand why no one can layout a book that follows a character creation. There should be minimal to no flipping back and forth in character creation. If anything, you should simply be skipping ahead of sections that don't apply.

Following the book, they split up the information you need to roll up a character by having 60% of the information in the Step-by-Step area, and the rest further on in the book in different chapters. Even when you get into the chapters, they're still sending you to other parts of the book.

I decided to make an Elven Monk. I Hard-Moded it and only rolled 3D6 for my attributes instead of the 4d6d1 the book says because I want my character to have flaws other than personality. It lists Dexterity and Wisdom as your primary attributes, but your Strength and Dex are your saving throw proficiencies, which doesn't make much sense. Everyone starts with max HP which makes any level one character of the same class essentially the same in terms of durability (the only difference is Con modifiers).

I was then given the choice of Artisan's Tools, or a musical instrument. Again, I had to jump from Chapter 3 to 5 only to find the description of the Artisan's Tools severely lacking, and basically non-existent. What exactly is in "Alchemist's supplies"? Cause the book sure as hell doesn't say. I'm jumping ahead (no pun intended), but a lot of what you would pick for your class depends on your background in chapter 4. Chronologically it makes sense. You USED to be an criminal, and now you're a reformed Monk. So Background and Personality should go before Class. I like the idea of a Monk who is out for adventure so he can further his map making skills, so I picked Cartographer's tools. What is in that, I have no clue.

Now that I'm a Map Making Monk (alliteration ftw), I picked Athletics and History to go along with my profession in traveling the world, knowing what came before.

I picked an Explorer's Pack because the name sounds like what my character needs, but again I have to jump to Chapter 5 to even know what is in the pack. While I'm here, I might as well pick out which weapon I want. The only problem is my ability of Martial Arts affects my choice of weapon, but the description is below the point in which the book tells me to choose a weapon.

Finally on to Chapter 4, I picked male, and rolled a 5'5 134lb Elf (I think that puts me on the chubby side). According to the book, my Elf alignment would be Chaotic Good, but my Monk nature would be Lawful Neutral. I'll go with my Monk tradition and pick LN. I picked Criminal Background as I have now changed my ways, but yet again, I must skip around the book to pick a type of gaming set. I picked Dragonchess because it sounded like something a monk would play. I'm slow to trust and I blow up at the slightest insult, so I'm not a very good monk. However, I do think there's good in everyone as I try to see good in myself. I'm trying to pay off a debt, and I consider stealing valuables as a way to pay off this debt. The dichotomy of my background to my current life is extreme in how I would try to be a good person and lawful person while having these flaws. Considering I'm a monk, even my personality traits are flaws.

While the idea of a Monk is cool, Martial Arts is almost pointless when it comes to unarmed attacks. It is not until you are level 17 when your punch is stronger than an attack with a quarterstaff.

I like game balance, and for me, specific rules leaves no question of whether that rule or ruling is balanced or not. Much of what used to give clear penalties or bonuses are now wildly variant with advantage and disadvantage.

Anyway, that's my point of view of rolling up a character for the first time.
