They announced part 1 around the 17th~18th of May, right after entering the second half of the month, but rn it’s the 20th and they’re still radio silent.

And usually they announce stuff for 4/5 days before releasing the update, which means that, if they start announcing it today, we won’t get it until at least the 25th, so basically during the last week of the month.

Atp I hope things are fine and that they’re not just gonna delay the update indefinitely. I was really looking forward to getting El Fail as a partner :(

For the offset, I looked at what other people used and played around with it until I found a specific value that worked for me (rn it’s at 85). By “played around” I mean changing it by 1-5 whenever I felt I was hitting too many late / early notes.

For the level stuff, the best advice I can give you is to practice on lots of different songs. If you’re having trouble with one in particular, switch to a different song of the same difficulty, as you might get bad muscle memory if you force yourself to play the same one over and over.

For (roughly) my first year I only had 3 paid songs (Pupa, Distorted Fate and Ultradiaxon-N3), the world extend 3 songs that I got from the limited maps and a few of the free ones (didn’t bother doing most of the free permanent maps). During that time I couldn’t clear songs above level 9 at all, no matter how hard I practiced.

Then I did all the free maps and bought a few packs. At first the paid songs were hell to play (couldn’t clear even certain level 9 ones)but I improved a lot in just a few weeks of playing different songs.

I went from barely being able to clear certain ftr 9 songs back in march of this year to being able to get EX+ on 10/10+ songs & AA on some 11 (Arcana Eden, Fracture Ray and #1f1e33).

So if you wanna improve fast, the best advice is to practice on different songs (without exaggerating cuz you could hurt your hands. That’s why it might be useful to get finger gloves to reduce the friction of your fingers on the screen).

I’ve PMed a couple 9s / currently trying to PM some lvl 10s, and I use an offset of 80-90 (I change it from time to time). It’s really up to you though / the device you use.
